I enjoy supporting the Clearbell team and working with different people within the organisation. The variety makes my job interesting and fun. My role involves supporting the Funds finance team, from day -to-day bookkeeping to the preparation of financial accounts for the Fund entities. Private equity was the focus of my career before I joined Clearbell. I spent a decade at European Capital from 2007, gaining experience across different teams including legal, tax and investment. I then spent time at Manzanita Capital and M&G Real Estate as a Fund Accountant. Out of work I like to be outside as much as possible, whether walking, gardening or travelling. I also support our local Scout group, managing their finances and supervising their trips. I think I definitely deserve an honorary finance badge.

Sophie Burrows

Job Titles:
  • Senior Investor Relations & Communications Manager
I joined Clearbell in 2015 and I really enjoy the family feel of the company, where we support each other in a work environment and also enjoy each other's company outside of work hours. I am involved with all aspects of investor relations, from onboarding to reporting. My areas of focus also include managing Clearbell's PR activity and implementing our corporate branding. Our rebrand and the relaunch of the website have been my most rewarding projects so far - it has been great to see how it has helped drive the business forward. Before Clearbell I worked at a B2B PR agency and at Frog Capital, a private equity firm, having graduated with a BA in Management from the University of Leeds in 2011. Outside work I've recently taken up cycling - it turns out a circuit of Richmond Park is harder work than it looks. I also love to travel, spend time with my family and try out new recipes from around the world. A little-known fact about me? I went to a French primary school.

  • Consultant ( Development ) Find Out
I work as a Consultant on development projects with Clearbell, having spent nine years as Development Director with the firm, where my responsibilities included developments in Scotland and the North of England. I have been closely involved with a number of projects over recent years, including the redevelopment and repositioning of the Riverwalk in Durham, the office development at 1 West Regent Street in Glasgow, the development of the Core Business Park in Aberdeen and a residential conversion in Edinburgh. I have a master's degree in History and Politics and a Diploma in Land Management, both from the University of Aberdeen. I'd like to say my time out of work is spent on rugby and golf, but the reality is that doing up our newly-acquired 200-year-old house takes up a lot of time. I am also working on broadening my musical taste by attending as many concerts as I can with my ten year old. Next up, Little Mix!
