Dr Ada Tam

From an early age, Dr Ada was drawn to the healthcare profession with a passion for helping others-something that we continue to strive for day in and day out. Dr Ada Tam is a member of ACNEM - Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. She particularly loves to help patients overcome mould illness, long COVID, irritable bowel syndrome, hormonal issues, thyroid disorders, autoimmune disorders, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis dysfunction, and fibromyalgia. At Clayfield Medical Centre, there's nothing more important to us than your health. What attracted Dr Ada to general practice was the opportunity to help patients overcome a variety of conditions and the ability to impact whole body health. Dr Ada graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). In order to provide patients in our practice the highest level of care possible, she continues to participate in various educational webinars and conferences every year. She achieved FRACGP specialist qualification in 2001, and is passionate about complementing nutritional medicine and weight management to evidence-based General Practice. Dr Ada Tam is also a member of ACNEM - Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. Dr Ada's special interests include: women's health diabetes complementary & nutritional medicine weight management full sexual transmitted disease screening prescription of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis Dr Ada Tam will be only bulkbilling children under 6 years of age in all NEW patients seeing her from 29/3/2021.

Dr Conor Calder-Potts

Dr Courtney Speight

Dr Courtney Speight has returned from her maternity leave now "I've always had an interest in science and medicine. I had studied and worked in other fields before entering medical school. What led me to medicine was my enjoyment of working directly with patients, using medical knowledge and skills to make a difference in all aspects of people's lives on a day-to-day basis." For Dr Courtney Speight, the most gratifying part of her job is experiencing the great variety that general practice brings. "I like working with patients of all ages and all kinds of health concerns. I also enjoy connecting with patients and their families to provide continuity of care in sickness and in health."

Dr Deborah McAlister

Growing up with an interest in medicine inspired by her physio mother, Dr Deborah always knew that she'd follow in her footsteps. Her caring and empathetic nature made general practice the perfect fit. Dr Deborah graduated from the prestigious St George's Medical School in London in 1993, obtaining her MBBS, FRACGP, DRCOG and DFFP. She is a member of the Royal College of GP's in the UK as well as Australia in addition to holding diplomas in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr Deborah is certified to insert contraceptive implants as well as intrauterine devices. Dr Deborah enjoys all aspects of working at Clayfield Medical Centre, and takes extreme pride in being able to work with generations of families. Outside of the practice, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and son. Dr Deborah is an avid flute player and is a member of the South East Qld Symphonic Winds, a troupe who regularly performs across Brisbane. Dr Deborah's special interests include: antenatal and postnatal care treating hepatitis c full sexual transmitted disease screening children's health sexual health chronic disease management depression and anxiety family planning including contraceptive implant and coil insertion preventative medicine women's health HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis Dr Deborah is looking to treat HIV in the near future

Dr Gaughin Gamboa

Dr Gaughin Gamboa is a visiting specialist, in the field of orthopaedic surgery (specialising in hip and knee). He visits every fortnightly on Thursday afternoon at Clayfield Medical Centre.

Dr Jason Wu

Dr Wu truly became passionate about being a family doctor when he started his specialist training program in FRACGP. While there, he met some very inspiring mentors who helped him to grow into a compassionate family doctor. "I have a highly privileged role of caring for my patients, who trust me by sharing their stories with me. I love the daily interaction with my patients and learn a lot from them."

Dr Julia Lim

To keep abreast of the latest in medicine, Dr Julia Lim partakes in the requirements of Continuing Professional Development. She attended the Annual Brisbane's Women and Children's Health Update Course as part of her special interest. She also is an active member of the Faculty of Sexual Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, UK and General Medical Council UK, RCGP UK as well as the RACGP in Australia. One of Dr Julia Lim's many professional achievements was starting the Coil Clinic at Clayfield Medical Centre when she joined in 2008. Dr Julia Lim's skills include fitting contraceptive implants and coils. My mother is my greatest role model and inspiration. Even though she is not formally educated, she has been my first teacher, doctor and guide." Dr Julia Lim's mother inspired her to become a physician. "I truly believe that we are all here to serve the community and I feel privileged as a doctor to be able to treat people as a whole-helping them emotionally, physically and mentally."

Dr Julia Sze Wai Ooi

Dr Ooi is passionate with her work with hopes to help people experience better health for life. Each day, she's able to witness the human spirit overcome obstacles, and she couldn't be prouder to assist patients with their needs at all times. With a passion for helping patients, Dr Ooi joined the Clayfield Medical Centre team with hopes to help people experience better health for life. Each day, she's able to witness the human spirit overcome obstacles, and she couldn't be prouder to assist patients with their needs at all times. Dr Ooi attended the renowned University of Queensland where she graduated with Honours in 1996. Before joining our team, she spent time living and volunteering in Tanzania and Laos. She continues to take professional development courses in order to provide the best care for her patients, recently participating in seminars including nutritional medicine, topical medicine, public health and women and children's health. As she puts it, the most fulfilling part about being a doctor is the honour of being trusted by patients. Kelsey-Rose Riachi

Kelsey Riachi (MDietSc. BExNSc.) is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and nutritionist registered with Dietitians' Australia. Kelsey has completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences' and Masters of Dietetics Studies at the University of Queensland. Kelsey is passionate about helping clients build a positive relationship with food and understands that ‘one size does not fit all'. Kelsey appreciates the importance and value of working collaboratively with her clients and creates a warm and non-judgmental space in her dietetic practice. She will support your passions and goals, so you can make realistic and sustainable changes to your diet through practical and individualised recommendations. Kelsey's special interests include digestive health conditions including IBS, food intolerances, Coeliac Disease, IBD, gastroparesis, diverticular disease and disordered eating. She is also trained in all areas of chronic disease management, has experience working with NDIS participants and takes on a holistic care approach with all clients. Moreover, Kelsey has a particular passion for how food, mood and gut health contribute to overall quality of life. Kelsey is excited to share her knowledge and passion for nutrition with all her clients at Nutrition Wisdom.
