Since founding CSCA 36 years ago, Principal Architect Edward J. Cass, AIA, has directed the design of hundreds of projects valued at over four billion dollars in San Diego and around the country. He has an in-depth understanding of the construction process gained through his early and continued involvement with the design-build method of project delivery. Under his direction, CSCA continues to follow one of the cardinal rules Mr. Cass established that all projects are under the management and direct operation and control of a Principal at all critical periods of the design process. Mark S. Sowatsky

Principal Architect Mark S. Sowatsky, AIA, has gained a reputation for innovative designs which show a deep respect for both the user's requests and the demands of the client's budget and time schedules. Serving as Design Principal on more than 250 projects has given Mr. Sowatsky in-depth experience in designing buildable solutions for clients throughout the United States. Many of Mr. Sowatsky's designs have won awards at the local, regional and national levels. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
