Raúl Allegre

Job Titles:
  • Executive Producer
Raúl Allegre, a 9-year NFL veteran and two-time Super Bowl winner with the New York Giants (1986 and 1990), joined ESPN Deportes in 2002 as an analyst for ESPN International's coverage of Sunday Night Football. Since the fall of 2006, Allegre has been an analyst on ESPN Deportes and ESPN International's Monday Night Football, where he works alongside play-by-play commentator Álvaro Martín and sideline reporter John Sutcliffe. He also co-hosts the weekly NFL studio show NFL Semanal and is a columnist for ESPNDeportes.com and ESPN.com in Latin America. During his NFL career, Allegre played for the Baltimore Colts, Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants and the New York Jets. A native of Torreón, Mexico, Allegre attended the University of Montana on a football scholarship, later transferring to the University of Texas. He began his NFL kicking career in 1983 with the Baltimore Colts and later won two Super Bowls as a member of the New York Giants. After his retirement from the NFL in 1993, Allegre became the executive producer, creator, and host of Super Show Deportivo, a 30-minute NFL show in Spanish produced by NFL Films. Over the next few years, he worked as a radio commentator for Texas Longhorns Football and in 1996 became the executive producer of the Dallas Cowboys' Spanish-language preseason television broadcasts until 2004. Throughout his career, Allegre has made community involvement a priority. He currently serves as president of the NFL Alumni in Austin, overseeing the local effort for the "Caring for Kids" national charity program.
