Anu Duggal

Anu is the Founding Partner of Female Founders Fund. In 2018, Anu was included in Fortune's "40 Under 40" list, and she has been praised for her impact in diversifying venture capital with additional distinctions including Business Insider's "Ultimate List of Female Startup Investors," and "Top 4 Venture Firms Investing in Women". Anu began her tech career as a co-founder of Exclusively.in, a private sale e-commerce company backed by Accel & Tiger which was acquired by Myntra. She is a Board Observer for ELOQUII, Maven Clinic, and Landit, and a Board Member for WinkyLux and The Rubin Museum of Art. She holds an MBA from London Business School and a BA from Vassar College.

Caroline McKechnie

Caroline joined Female Founders Fund in 2020 following over four years living in the UK, where she graduated from the University of St. Andrews with top honors in International Relations and Management. As Platform Manager, Caroline focuses on efforts across content, portfolio support, and community - notably helping bring to life large scale events including Camp FFF and FFF's CEO Summit, and FFF's podcast - The 2%. Previously, Caroline worked in London as a Marketing Associate at software start-up FrontM and as a Campaign Operations Executive at CNBC International.

Emily St. Denis

Job Titles:
  • Operating Partner
Emily joined Female Founders Fund in 2018. As Operating Partner, Emily leads FFF's brand strategy, content creation (podcast, blog, social), and community efforts - including but not limited to our widely acclaimed annual CEO Summit and Camp FFF events; owns corporate partnerships and event fundraising; and manages the fund's internal operations. Emily began her career as one of SoulCycle's first corporate hires where she built out the company's first standard operating procedures, set up their national procurement system and logistics program, and led strategic operational initiatives through periods of high growth. After 5 years at SoulCycle, Emily worked as the Director of Operations for an international fitness franchise before transitioning to VC. Emily is a Board Member for the Global VC Platform Community. She holds a BA from Skidmore College.

Layla Alexander

Job Titles:
  • Investment Analyst
Prior to joining Female Founders Fund, Layla worked at Goldman Sachs on the Real Estate Investing Team, where she conducted underwriting and due diligence on deals across office, data warehousing, life science, and other asset classes. She also gained investing experience while interning with Harlem Capital, Google, and Cleo Capital. Layla graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics. Layla's passion for supporting underrepresented communities inspired her to work with the Columbia Organization for Rising Entrepreneurs (CORE) and Almaworks, CORE's startup accelerator focused on mentoring undergraduate and graduate student founders. While at Columbia she also led the Columbia University Black Pre-Professional Society as CEO.
