Alan has been in the passive fire protection industry for more than 40 years, having joined the fire protection division of Pilkington Glass in 1981. He was a founding director and MD of Checkmate Fire Solutions and a consultant at BRE Academy before joining GTFD in 2019. He is a proud and active member of NAHFO (the National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers).

Chris has worked in the construction industry for the last thirty-five years - gaining invaluable knowledge through hands-on experience in different office and managerial roles from Plant Store Manager to Estimator and Project Manager and becoming a qualified Quantity Surveyor.
GTFD's resident sportaholic, he'll watch and try any sport, having played club hockey for twenty years as well as football for various teams until the age of 45. Chris is a qualified FA football coach and Millwall FC season ticket holder and has been a foster carer for the last 14 years.

Mick started work in the organisation on the 16th of April 2008, on a part time basis, as a Credit Controller, and is proud to still be here, some 15 years later: "It has been a good journey, with Sem Kneeshaw the MD, seeing growth of the company, hopefully contributing towards its current position in the market, along with others. My work colleagues have been a pleasure to work with, as well as many of our customers/clients.
Moe joined Golden Thread Fire Delay in July 2022. Moe has been in the fire protection industry for nearly 15 years having worked with several passive fire protection manufacturers including Nullifire, International Paint and Promat and various contractors including Checkmate Fire Solutions. Moe is an active presenter in trade shows and panels with organizations such as the ASFP and is working his way towards membership status with the Institute of Fire Engineers.

Neil has 20 years' experience in education, training and compliance in Europe and Asia. He has been working in the passive fire protection sector for the past seven years (joining GTFD in 2022) since returning to the UK

Sem has been in the passive fire protection industry since 1994. He was a founder and Director of Fire Delay Contractors Ltd (as was) and also Golden Thread Fire Ltd before implementing the merger of the two companies and transition to Employee Ownership in November 2022. Sem is a passionate advocate of the professionalisation of the PFP industry being one of those who passed the first ASFP/IFE level 3 qualification in Passive Fire Protection, and receiving the academic award for highest achievement.

Steve has been in the Passive fire protection industry for more than 35 years, having joined FP Fire Protection in 1984 as an installer in all aspects of passive fire protection installation, before becoming an estimator and supervisor with the day to day organising of many projects. He joined GTFD as Contracts Manager in February 2017, becoming Passive Fire Protection Manager in 2021.
