Alan Galbraith

Alan is a highly skilled, experienced executive management consultant with an exceptional record of success throughout his professional career and in the projects and engagements he delivers. He specialises in program and project delivery and management; services delivery and enhancement (including shared services and process reengineering), policy development and review, functional and operational reviews, governance, corporate builds and institutional strengthening; business case development, complex procurement, strategic sourcing and negotiation, and operational and strategic planning. He offers extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and change management. Alan has established a reputation as a subject matter specialist in the areas of strategic sourcing, outsourcing and shared services, providing advice and leading significant procurement activities (in particular IT and corporate services and infrastructure acquisitions). He is also a highly regarded probity adviser within the public sector. He established Galent Management Consulting in 2011 after an extensive and highly successful consulting career with ‘Big 4' firms and with WalterTurnbull (including leadership of its consulting practice). Prior to consulting, Alan had a highly successful career in the public sector spanning some 20 years, including senior executive positions in engineering, information technology, corporate services and shared services in the utilities sector (in Queensland and the ACT), the Australian Government and ACT Government. Alan is a professional Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He also completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

Ian Thomson

Job Titles:

Prior to consulting Ian's roles included senior executive roles within Government, including Chief Finance Officers and Chief Operating Office positions. As a consultant Ian has provided financial modelling, financial analysis and budget and capital plan development. He has provided financial evaluation assistance to procurement projects and financial models and plans in support of corporate and ICT strategic plans. He offers extensive experience in government accounting and financial management.

Rosemary Kennedy

Rosemary is a senior executive with substantial experience gained predominantly in the government, health, and community sectors. Her strengths include procurement, commercial management, general management, development and implementation of key organisational governance and strategic initiatives to drive organisational change. Throughout her career, including her extensive public sector career, she has been responsible and managed a range of managed a range of contract and commercial arrangements. She offers a demonstrated record of achievement in successful delivery of commercial arrangements which has been recognised in her appointment to a number of key roles including the ACT Government Procurement Board. As a strategic leader, she possesses significant experience providing executive leadership with respect to procurement and major contract management for ACT Health. Rosemary has a reputation for successfully implementing policies and strategies in complex organisations, leading improved team capability and improving performance, whilst operating with integrity, transparency, and reliability. With a career spanning some thirty years, Rosemary offers some 15 years' experience at executive director level within public sector in both health and municipal services, with a strong record of delivering for government, including major capital programmes and projects. She offers high-level communication, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning capabilities.

Sean Galbraith

Sean is an experienced Chartered Accountant, offering some 15 years professional expertise and experience. Sean specialises in the delivery of internal and external audit services as well as financial and accounting consultancy. His experience includes working for ‘Big 4' firms in Canberra, Brisbane and Melbourne, as well as ‘mid-tier' firms in Canberra and Manchester (UK) delivering professional services to a range of government and private entities before joining Galent in 2018. Sean's external audit experience is across a variety of entity types including companies limited by guarantee, incorporated associations, government entities, and small, multinational and private companies across Australia and the United Kingdom. Sean provides experience in compliance and viability assessments on a variety of projects and sites across many government entities. His internal audit engagements experience includes the planning, delivery and reporting of various types of engagements including compliance, operational and performance audits across both government and private entities. Sean can deliver these services as part of contract-in, co-sourced of fully outsourced engagements. Sean has delivered internal audit services to some of the largest companies and government departments in Australia but has the proven ability to apply his knowledge to entities of all shapes and sizes. Sean also specialises in financial and accounting consultancy and offers professional and high quality solutions, including secondments into finance teams, process mapping, accounting position papers, financial and reporting model development, technical accounting advice, financial statement preparation and procedures, organisational research and business planning.
