GPS ON CURZON - Key Persons
Independent Doctor Aaron Coutts moved to Toowoomba in 2014, and has stayed here since. Along the way he met his wife at Toowoomba Hospital, and has worked in areas including Emergency Medicine and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. Aaron joined GPs on Curzon in 2019, and finished his GP training in the same year.
Before studying medicine, Aaron spent several years at Kyoto University. A young family takes up most of his spare time, but when he can he enjoys gardening, bushwalking and motorsport.
Dr Annie-Kate Vann is excited to return to Toowoomba with her young daughter and her husband who is a specialist physician. She grew up in Brisbane and studied medicine at the University of Queensland (MBBS), after also completing a Bachelor of Science there.
Annie-Kate lived in Toowoomba for her final two years of medical school and then spent her first few years as a doctor working at the Toowoomba Hospital.
She has since worked at major centres including Princess Alexandra Hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital and Townsville University Hospital.
Annie-Kate has worked in General Practice since 2020 and has been living in Brisbane for the past two years. She is interested in women's health, children's health, family planning and chronic disease management.
Annie-Kate works part-time and is thrilled to join the team at GPs on Curzon. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends over delicious meals, playing with her daughter and siblings, and drinking tea.
Dr Geraghty graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2008, and completed her fellowship in General Practice in 2014. Dr Geraghty enjoys all aspects of general practice, and holds a Graduate Diploma in Genetic Counselling, a Family Planning and Sexual Health Certificate, and is a registered Hepatitis B and HIV prescriber.
She has an interest in men's issues after spending several years in the Australian Army. Dr Geraghty also has a special interest in HIV medicine and HIV prescribing. Dr Geraghty is married with three children.
Dr Rachael Gray has been a General Practitioner for over 25 years. She has worked as a Doctor in many locations including Dirranbandi, Roma and now Toowoomba. Her main interest areas are Women's Health, Travel Medicine and Chronic Disease Management. Dr Rachael Gray also works assisting in Surgery at St Andrew's hospital and St Vincent's Hospital.
Rachael is married with 2 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat and loves living in Toowoomba.
Dr Scott Peters graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1985. He completed his General Practice Training in 1992 with the Family Medicine Training Programme / RACGP and has been a vocationally registered GP since then. He has worked full time as a GP from 1991-2007 as the Practice Principal at Westridge Medical Centre. Since 2008 Dr Peters has worked full time at GPs on Curzon.
He has close to 30 yrs experience as a surgical assistant to 2 of Toowoomba's orthopaedic surgeons.
He has enjoyed the diversity of general practice and the personal connections he has made with his patients in the past 32 yrs, but from August 2023 has decided to dedicate his work to the area of Primary Care Skin Cancer Care, early detection and treatment.
