Cameron found his passion for the construction industry soon after his move from the UK in 2012. Starting in estimating, he quickly moved onto project coordination and client management. After 6 years in Australia, Cameron travelled the world, partaking in his passions for Latin dancing and teaching, before settling in the Gold Coast.
It was Graeme, Cameron's uncle and Highlife's construction manager, who introduced him to Highlife Homes. What Cameron loves most about Highlife Homes (and embodies in his own work) is that the team is always trying to find the best benefit for every person involved. "They just have great moral intentions for everyone, in every situation."
Cameron is Highlife Homes' project manager. He coordinates the pre-build stages, plans and supports the management of construction, and works to achieve project success.
Elyse is a business woman of many roles, acting as creative director, finance manager, and development manager of the Highlife companies.
Inspired by James' deep passion for building, Elyse joined him in founding Highlife Homes in 2012, less than a year into their relationship. A young marketer and academic, she focused on the Highlife brand, and the systems required to build a world-class company.
Elyse has a deep-rooted love of art, design and style; in architecture, interior design, fashion, and film.
In 2016, Elyse started Highlife Sales Pty Ltd, to handle the sales of homes built by Highlife Homes. As director and principal agent of this company, Elyse oversees the project marketing and sales team, to ensure buyers are getting the best possible service and support.
Graeme has over 25 years in the construction industry in both domestic and civil construction.
In the mid-2000s, after living much of his life in the UK, and travelling the world managing civil construction projects, he moved first to Adelaide with his wife Alice and first daughter (now three!).
Passionate about residential construction, Graeme became Site Supervisor and then Project Manager for a high-end custom home builder in Adelaide, managing projects up to $10m.
At Highlife Homes, Graeme oversees the quality, efficiency and safety of each project. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail ensures that each and every project is completed to the highest standard.
Graeme was drawn to Highlife Homes ethos and integrity. "I read a great quote that says ‘Surround yourself with these 5 people; the inspired, the passionate, the motivated, the grateful, and the open-minded." I think this perfectly describes the team at Highlife Homes."
James George is a dynamic entrepreneur and a master builder, with over 20 years' experience in owning businesses in the Australian building industry. It was obvious from childhood that building was his destiny.
After a decade running a successful carpentry business, he founded Highlife Homes with Elyse in 2012.
Property development was always James' end goal, with the intention of cultivating a community of property enthusiasts across Australia, for unique property opportunities and philanthropic endeavours.
With a focus on hiring people with integrity and an intrinsic desire for excellence, James has been able to continue evolving the company while maintaining client care and first-class workmanship.

James, or MacQueen as his colleagues affectionately know him, joined Highlife Homes in 2022 after moving from Scotland with his wife and 4 children.
James and his family travelled Australia for a month in 2019 and fell in love with Burleigh Heads; within days of returning to Scotland they had submitted their application for Permanent Residency.
Commencing in Real Estate in 2009, James managed sales, marketing and developments for the largest construction company in the North Highlands of Scotland. Coming from 4 generations of builders, James lives and breathes architecture, construction and sales.
Personable, professional and fun, James' job is to make buying an easy and wonderful experience for buyers.
Coming from Melbourne, Jason moved to the Gold Coast for the wonderful lifestyle we offer here. Jason settled in Kingscliff with his beautiful wife Simone, and grew to a family of four with his two kids. Jason loves the vibe of Kingscliff, with its laid-back surf culture and great sense of community. He is an awesome dad (even his coffee mug says so!) and loves to be with his family and his kids, doing activities, playing sport, and spending time at the beach.
Jason has been designing homes since 2010, after studying Building Design and Technology. He has worked for 4 different builders in his career, allowing him to work on a variety of projects differing in size and complexity. As such, he is expertly skilled in his craft and loves the variety of projects on offer with Highlife Homes, allowing him to use his creativity and ingenuity to design some exquisite properties.
Megan is Elyse's sister and has worked with Highlife Homes since 2015. With a background in commercial interiors, Megan has worked on both commercial and residential fit outs for the past 12 years.
Megan is an amazing mum, and also one of the most broadly knowledgeable members of the Highlife team, having played a critical role in various departments of the company. She is continuously evolving the Highlife aesthetic and improving the finer design details. Her vision boards, colour schemes, and selections reflect her creativity, and talent for harmonious beautiful design.
