Andrea Garcia

Andrea graduated cum Laude from the University of the Incarnate Word in Texas and Mexico City and obtained her B.A in Psychology. She is passionate about helping others, especially when it comes to creating and cultivating intercultural experiences. This passion motivated her to obtain her certificates in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL), Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Medical Interpreting Andrea is the first face you will see at our Huntsville office, and she is always eager to help. She also breaks language barriers present by interpreting for Spanish-Speaking clients and assists the attorneys of the firm. . In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, watching movies with her husband, and walking their dog, Gabby.

Bayley Gamble

Bayley Graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and minors in both Spanish and Legal Affairs. She was also a part of the Global and Community Leadership Honors Program throughout her time at UAB. Growing up, Bayley spent several years in a small town in the jungles of Ecuador where she learned the Spanish language. Bayley works with our managing attorney, helping him with his day-to-day responsibilities such as calendaring, networking, and running financial reports. Additionally, Bayley assists in running the firm's social media accounts. In her free time, Bayley enjoys reading, baking, spending time with her husband and family, and attending her church.

Carolina Melvin

Carolina Melvin is a dedicated paralegal who focuses on SIJ, UVISA, Asylum, and DACA cases. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in 2017 with a degree in Journalism and received her J.D. from the Charleston School of Law in 2021. Her personal interest in immigration law comes from her own experience as both of her parents are immigrants who came to the United States in the 90s. Carolina brings a unique perspective and empathy to her work, making her an exceptional advocate for her clients. She joined our team in 2021 and her favorite part of the job is working with our Special Immigrant Juvenile clients, to help them realize all the opportunities available to them and guide them through the complex immigration process. In her free time, Carolina enjoys reading, gardening, and hiking with her husband Cooper and their two dogs.

Jeremy Love

An expert immigration lawyer in Alabama, Jeremy Love has represented clients across the state since 2009. He has always been passionate about assisting those in need and has worked with many nonprofit organizations such as Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice (ACIJ), Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama (HICA), the Latin American Association, and the Volunteer Lawyers Program. After leading the immigration program at HICA for two years, Jeremy formed the Love Law Firm in 2012. He represents clients in a broad spectrum of immigration cases including family petitions, waivers, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), U Visas, DACA, Special Immigrant Juvenile, nonimmigrant visas, and naturalization. Jeremy received his law degree from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, a degree in Spanish from the University of Tennessee and is a member of both the Alabama and Georgia state bars. He received a Certificate of Commendation from the US Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division for "outstanding performance and invaluable assistance." Jeremy has been featured many times as a Top Attorney in Alabama and has been a speaker for the American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and the Birmingham Bar Association. Jeremy enjoys traveling with his family and friends and attending sporting events, such as Birmingham Legion FC soccer matches.

Julie Hand

Julie works directly with clients in the preparation of cases and provides a range of services for the firm. Julie graduated from the University of Alabama with a double degree in Business and Spanish. She became interested in immigration after her time volunteering with immigrants in ESL classes during college. Prior to joining our team, Julie spent a year teaching English to high school students in Madrid, Spain. Her love for other cultures makes her passionate about helping those who have immigrated to the United States. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, live music, and spending time with friends and family.

Kimberly Gubert

Kimberly is dedicated to practicing all aspects of immigration law, with her caseload focusing primarily on Humanitarian immigration relief, Family-based immigration, and removal proceedings. As a Second Generation American, her familial ties to El Salvador give her a unique understanding of the Hispanic culture and is the fuel to her passion in helping immigrants achieve their goals within the United States. She handles cases related to Family Petitions, Fiancée Visas, Asylum, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), U-Visas, Special Immigrant Juvenile, Deferred Action (DACA) and removal proceedings. By practicing law solely in the area of immigration, she has built her knowledge of the immigration legal framework over the last several years to competently know all the ins and outs of the U.S. immigration system. Kimberly Gubert works both at our Birmingham and Huntsville locations. She grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and after receiving her Undergraduate Degree at the University of Alabama, she attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center from Louisiana State University. In 2018, she graduated with both her Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law (D.C.L.). She works closely with Pro-Bono Organizations dedicated to helping the immigrant community, such as Huntsville Helping Hands and AshaKiran, LLC, and is committed to bettering the lives of the immigrant communities around her. She is licensed to practice law in Alabama and in Louisiana. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is registered to practice before EOIR (Executive Office of Immigration Review).

Mayra Martinez

Mayra graduated from the University of West Georgia with a concentration in Mass Communications and a minor in marketing. She has always been passionate about immigrant rights and hopes to continue to help the immigrant community serving as a legal assistant. Mayra is the first point of contact with the firm as well as the firm's Social Media Manager. She assures each client is assisted as expeditiously as possible. She aides the attorneys and paralegals to effectively execute the clients' and the firm's needs. For leisure, Mayra enjoys exploring new places, concerts, photography, guitar, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Terra Silva

Terra is a magna cum laude graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. During law school she served as a legal writing fellow and on the executive board of the Cumberland Law Review. Terra is licensed to practice law in Alabama and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. She is registered to practice before EOIR (the Executive Office for Immigration Review). Prior to law school, Terra worked as a victim advocate for a local non-profit organization. She received her Master's degree in political science from El Colegio de Mexico. While studying and working in Mexico City, she focused on learning about crime prevention and violence against women. Terra completed her undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies at Wellesley College. She enjoys cooking, trying new foods, listening to podcasts, walking her dogs, and spending time with her husband and son
