Adriana Soto is an Account Executive, providing administrative and customer service support to commercial marine clients. Prior to joining MHG in 2020, Adriana worked as an Account Manager at a Yacht Insurance Management Company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She has also held Account Manager positions and Insurance Agent positions at several national and internationally recognized insurance companies. Adriana is active in her community and is a current member of the Florida Mariners Club. She also regularly volunteers at the Broward County Humane Society.

Alastair Macmillan-Bell - CEO

Alastair is the Chief Executive Officer for the MHG Group of Companies. In this role, he works with the executive management team to develop and execute the overall business plans for the MHG companies, supporting new innovative solutions that address market needs, and identifying diversification and acquisition opportunities to further advance the MHG footprint. Additionally, he is responsible for delivering the group's mission of serving our clients at the very highest levels of customer satisfaction. Andrew is the Group Executive Chairman of MHG Insurance. He co-founded MHG in 1991 and previously served as the company's Chairman and CEO. Callum Byrne is an Underwriting Assistant in our Isle of Man office and is responsible for providing administration and benefit support to yacht clients. Callum has a background in international finance and previously worked at a leading institution that provides investments, savings, and protection solutions to international investors worldwide. Prior to that, Callum worked at two international banks, gaining valuable experience.

Cathy Lane

Cathy Lane is the Managing Director of European Operations for MHG Insurance. In this role, she serves as the compliance officer and oversees all operations throughout Europe, including the Isle of Man office and its satellite offices. Before joining MHG in 2011, Cathy spent eight years as a local Independent Financial Adviser, specializing in mortgages and all forms of personal insurance. During that time she launched a new division for a local insurance brokerage, specializing in life and health, private medical insurance, and income protection. Ever adaptable, she has now switched to the marine industry and is enjoying it immensely. Cathy stays involved with the industry through various organizations, including the Chartered Insurance Institute (Cii), the Isle of Man Maritime Group and the Isle of Man Superyacht Forum.

Clayton Swart - VP of Sales

Clayton Swart is the Sales Director, Travel and Crew Health, specializing in trip cancellation insurance for yacht charters and luxury vacations and yacht crew insurance for individuals and groups. Before joining MHG in 2013, Clayton started his career as a crew member working onboard yachts and later transitioned to brokerage. Given his experience and background, Clayton is highly regarded for his insurance expertise and is the industry's trip cancellation expert. Clayton is very involved in the yachting industry and the local business community. Clayton served on the U.S. Superyacht Association (USSA) board for over five years, is a member of the International Yacht Broker's Association (IYBA) and is a founding member of the non-profit Young Professionals in Yachting (YPY).

Conor Hayes

Conor Hayes is the Sales Director, Commercial Marine specializing in marine liabilities, international tour operators, and hospitality-related businesses. Conor possesses a wealth of both international and domestic experience, having worked as an insurance broker in the U.S., Caribbean, and U.K. Prior to joining MHG in 2016, he was the Regional Vice President of a local insurance brokerage where he developed and managed a diverse book of business comprising of both marine and non-marine clients. A strong believer in community involvement, he is one of the founding members and current Vice President of the South Florida Irish American Chamber of Commerce (SFIACC) which promotes trade and commerce between the Irish communities in the tri-county area and with the island of Ireland.

Conor is a Senior Account Executive with our Commercial Marine Division, working closely with Conor Hayes and Adriana Soto to provide administrative and customer service support to clients. Prior to joining MHG in 2023, Conor worked as a Commercial Lines Account Executive at a few local insurance firms. Before making the transition into the insurance industry in 2017, Conor worked as a Licensed Carpenter and Project Manager for a construction company in New York City and served as a volunteer firefighter at his local fire department.

Emma Bell

Emma Bell is the Underwriting Specialist providing administration and benefit support to yacht clients. Emma joined MHG in 2016 with an extensive background in the insurance and financial industries, having worked for various insurance companies in several different positions. Prior to MHG, Emma worked as an Underwriting Support Technician where she performed risk management assignments, maintained records, and supported upper level management with allocation of tasks.
