MUSCAT DOG ADOPTION

Muscat Dog Adoption is a dog rescue organisation, established in 2012, by a group of dog-loving volunteers in Muscat, Oman. Our aim is to rescue injured and abandoned Wadi dogs and then re-home them in Muscat or overseas. ​... We keep some of the dogs safe in a small makeshift pound, which is cleaned by a hired kennel hand who also feeds and exercises the dogs. We have a group of dedicated volunteers who socialise and exercise the dogs on set days each week. Some of the dogs we rescue are in foster homes around the city. ​... We rely entirely on fundraising and donations to enable us to carry out our rescue efforts. We have monthly running costs of the pound, as well as ongoing vets bills, and we also contribute towards any dogs' travel costs who we send abroad. Our fundraising team is made up of dedicated volunteers who organise regular fundraising events such as; bingo/ quiz nights, car boot sales and online auctions to fund the above costs.
