James Xiang

Mr. Xiang is the CEO of Canadian Royalties, a successful mining operation in Northern Quebec and is a director of the general partner of the F&M & JJ Global Resource Fund. In addition, Mr. Xiang serves as director for several Toronto- and US-listed companies. Prior to his engagement with Jien International Investment Ltd., Mr. Xiang was the President of China Mineral Resources Limited, a company that provides investment and financial advisory services to Chinese companies that are seeking listing, financing and M&A opportunities in North America. Mr. Xiang holds a Bachelor of Arts from Huazhong University of Science & Technology in China and a Masters of Business Administration from York University. Mr. Xiang is a Certified Management Accountant (Ontario) and a Certified Public Accountant (Delaware).

Meirong Yuan

Mr. Yuan is a board member of Yintai Gold, previously owning the Eldorado China gold operations listed in China. He is also a Board member of Gowest Gold Ltd. Mr .Yuan has over 22 years of experience in corporate finance and has a Master Degree in accounting from Beijing business school. He is a chartered public accountant in People's Republic Of China. Mr.Yuan held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Wonder Auto Technology Inc. from 2006 to 2011 and has been Vice President of Fortune Futures Holding Limited since January 2014.

Michel Lacroix

Mr. Lacroix has over three decades of expertise in the mining industry. He has held several supervisory positions and has provided effective leadership throughout his career. Michel has a deep understanding of process plant operations, and he is well-versed in optimizing mill circuits. He is also a certified Train-the-Trainer and holds multiple specialty modules. Michel rejoined the Northern Sun Mining Team in 2014 after having been employed with Liberty Mines (formerly known as) from 2007-2012. Michel currently serves as the Operations General Foreman, providing expert guidance and leadership in daily operations.

Riley McNamara

Job Titles:
  • Metallurgist
Mr. McNamara is a distinguished graduate of the University of Ottawa, having earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering. Currently pursuing his Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, Riley began his professional journey with the Northern Sun Mining team in 2019, assuming the role of Process Engineer in Training. His career at Northern Sun Mining has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the processes and procedures associated with mineral processing and precious metal recovery. Riley presently holds the role of Metallurgist.

Sarah Marazzo

Job Titles:
  • Senior Human Resources Advisor
Mrs. Marazzo is a Human Resources Professional with over 8 years of experience in the mining industry. She holds an Ontario College advanced diploma in Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources Management from Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology. Originally from the north, she is proud to have established her career in the same region. Sarah began her career with Northern Sun Mining in 2014, serving as Human Resources Coordinator. Throughout her career, she has developed expertise in various aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, compliance, benefits, and payroll. She is known for her ability to navigate complex compliance requirements and ensure that organizational policies align with regulatory standards. Beyond her Human Resources role, she provides support to Accounting and Health and Safety functions. Sarah presently holds the position of Senior Human Resources Advisor.

Sterling McMeekin

  • Maintenance General Foreman
Mr. McMeekin is a highly qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Technologist who has obtained diplomas from both Cambrian College and Haileybury School of Mines. His dual trade experience and Interprovincial Red Seal trade classification in electrical is greatly valued in many industries. Sterling has been working in the field since 2006. He began his career as an Instrumentation Technician for Xstrata Copper Canada, where he was responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of process control equipment. From there, he moved on to Resolute Forest Products in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, as an Electrician/Instrumentation Technician. In 2015, Sterling joined Northern Sun Mining in the role of Electrical/Instrumentation Journeyman, and was subsequently promoted to Maintenance General Foreman.

Tim Doskotch

Job Titles:

Mr. Doskotch is a seasoned professional who currently serves as Site Manager at Northern Sun's Redstone Mill in Timmins, Ontario. He is a graduate of Cambrian College, where he earned a Canadian Scholarship for Science and Technology and graduated as an Instrumentation Technologist. He is one of the few technical personnel within the industry to hold an Interprovincial Red Seal trades classification for both Instrumentation and Electrical. With extensive years of mining and metal processing experience, Mr. Doskotch served in various technical and management roles. He spent two years at the Kidd Creek Metallurgical facility in Timmins, where he primarily focused on the instrumentation and control aspects of processing facilities. He furthered his mining and metal processing experience with three years at Liberty Mines (formally known as) from 2010-2013. He began his career with Siemens in Ottawa, where he serviced clients such as Nortel Networks. He worked for Nortel Networks from 2001-2003, where he contributed to the development of Waste Water treatment systems, Toxic gas monitoring systems, and Ultra-Pure Water purification plants. He also worked as an automation technologist with Johnson Controls from 2003-2008. In 2014, Tim rejoined the Northern Sun Mining team as an Electrical/Instrumentation Leader and has held various management positions since then. As Site Manager, Tim is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Redstone Mill.
