Dr. David McCoy served the Lord faithfully here at Peoples Baptist Church and Academy for forty years until the Lord took him to Heaven in September of 2021. He and his wife, Mrs. Trish McCoy, founded Peoples Baptist Academy in 1995. Dr. McCoy's life's verse was Psalm 84:11: "For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." Through that verse, Pastor McCoy strove to educate with eternity in view and teach that, truly, it pays to serve God. To let you get to know who he was (and what his sense of humor was like). . .
Miss Jannah Harris has spent twenty-four years of her life at PBA...but most of those were as a student. She is fluent in Japanese from her family's time as missionaries in Japan, and the students love to hear stories of her time there. She received her bachelor's and master's degree in education from West Coast Baptist College and is definitely an asset to PBA.
Miss Mary Rogers came to Peoples Baptist Church and Academy in 2012 and has been a tremendous asset to our ministry. Miss Rogers grew up in Farmingdale, New Jersey, and then attended Crown College in Powell, Tennessee, to obtain her bachelor's and master's degrees in education. While in college, she spent a semester studying in England and has a special interest in history. In our academy, she teaches 8th and 9th grade science, elementary music, and girls' P.E. She also heads up our booster club and fundraising and has become a fan favorite since adding soft pretzels and cheese sticks to the concession stand menu.

Mr. Mark Bookout is in his thirteenth year of ministry at PBA. He grew up in a pastor's home in Festus, Missouri, and attended West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, California, where he received a degree in music. In addition to serving as our church pianist, Mr. Bookout gives private piano and band lessons. In our academy, he teaches precalculus, pre-algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II. He also directs the bands and choirs for all grades and oversees the music in our Fine Arts department. He enjoys playing the piano (thankfully), reading in his spare time, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Robert Vaughn has been a faithful, long-time member of Peoples Baptist Church and has been a blessing to our ministry in many areas. Of his thirteen years teaching, he has spent nine at PBA. Mr. Vaughn grew up in Morrow and Forest Park, Georgia, and attended Andersonville College, where he obtained his bachelor's and master's degree. He is now working on his doctorate. In our high school, he teaches Bible, physics, geometry, biology, and chemistry. Also serving as our athletic director, Mr. Vaughn loves all things sports-related but is an intense Georgia fan.
Mrs. Becky Cook has been in Christian education for seventeen years and has been such a blessing to PBA. She and her husband Jared are very involved in multiple aspects of our church as well, just being "all in" when it comes to ministry and education. She has four children, and all four--Katelyn, Madalyn, Jared, and Landon--graduated from PBA.

Mrs. Jennifer Satterfield has been in Christian education for fifteen years, and nine of those have been at PBA. She grew up in Georgia, attended Crown College of the Bible, and married her high school sweetheart (Pastor Thomas Satterfield). She has four children--Danny, who attends Crown College; Samuel, who recently graduated from PBA and is going to Pensacola to continue his education; Emma, a current PBA high school student; and Julia, a sixth grader this year.
Mrs. Katelyn Revelle is a graduate of Peoples Baptist Academy. She left Georgia and went to Crown College to obtain an education degree. She's now back in our ministry and married to her high school sweetheart, who is also a PBA graduate.

Mrs. Lesa Myers is in her second year with us here at PBA, and she has been a blessed addition to our staff. She worked for the Clayton County District Attorney's office until she retired a couple years ago. Now she is taking those years of accounting and service and putting that expertise to use here in the business office. Her own children graduated from Peoples Baptist Academy years ago, and now her grandsons attend our kindergarten. We are so glad to have her here with us!
Mrs. Maryeliza Gonzalez is a new addition to PBA, and her sweet spirit is an encouragement to literally everyone she meets. She is a native Spanish speaker from Mexico, and she has been a great addition to our high school hallway.
Mrs. Patricia Gober is a long-time educator and a wonderful teacher at PBA. She grew up in Atlanta and has a degree in Early Childhood Care and Education. She and her husband are very involved at PBC, have four children and twelve grandchildren, and just became great-grandparents in the past couple years.

Mrs. Rhonda Culbreth, another of our school secretaries, has been a great asset to our ministry since she joined our sta ff four years ago. After retiring from a career at the sheriff's department, we thought she'd fit right in with the school ministry. A long-time member of Peoples Baptist Church, she and her husband Tim have two grown sons, both graduates of PBA. She enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, watching old movies, and going on mini road trips with her husband.
Pastor Thomas Satterfield has been on staff here at Peoples Baptist Church and Academy for about two years. The Lord led him to our church right when we needed him the most because it wasn't long after he came on staff that the Lord called our pastor home to Heaven. Bro. Satterfield stepped into that position and has led our church as the senior pastor for the last year. Pastor Satterfield teaches senior high Bible and also runs elementary and high school chapel.
