Since 1992, Carmen Otero has been assisting attorneys with respect to their appellate printing and litigation support needs.
In her managerial capacity at St. Louis West, who subsequently merged with PrintingHouse Press, Carmen handled all matters with respect to incoming appeals, from speaking with the lawyers involved to producing a finished product, including, but not limited to, preparation of the appropriate documents comprising Records and Appendices on Appeal.
Moreover, Carmen was instrumental in developing an internal workflow such that the company could efficiently and effectively manage the large volumes of appeals flowing through its doors annually. Carmen has provided the appellate procedural backbone for her clients for years and continues to remain a viable source for them during the course of preparing their appeals for perfection in all State and Federal Courts.
Upon joining PrintingHouse Press in 2011, Carmen quickly distinguished herself as a team player and leader in appellate printing services. She has become a go-to wealth of knowledge for her clients and prides herself on her accessibility. Carmen is proud of her track record and her clients know her to be conscientious, knowledgeable and diligent with respect to their appeals. Carmen is proud to call New Jersey her home, where she lives with her husband and three children. After Eric graduated from law school in 1997, he began his litigation career and practiced for the better part of a decade before segueing into a career as a litigation support consultant to lawyers and law firms across the nation.
Since 2006, he has focused primarily on assisting attorneys with their appellate and ediscovery needs. He is Vice President of Sales at PHP, the leading Appellate Services Provider in New York City, and an attorney with vdiscovery, a leading ediscovery and litigation support provider.
Eric specializes in appeals in all New York State courts ranging from the Appellate Division up through the New York State Court of Appeals, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition, he has handled appeals in New Jersey as well as many Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal across the Country.
During college, Mr. Kuperman clerked in the New York State Court system for the Law Department. Thereafter, while in law school, he held two internships, one with the Attorney General and the other with New York State Supreme Court Justice Beatrice Shainswit. He participated in an Intensive Trial Advocacy Program during his third year in law school. Following graduation, he worked mostly as a civil defense litigator, representing major insurance carriers, both domestically and internationally. An ever-growing part of his practice, Mr. Kuperman became intrigued with appellate practice and ultimately drafted briefs and argued before the Appellate Division First Department.
Eric is proud to have hundreds of clients who look to him for guidance in all facets of litigation support. His knowledge of practice and procedure, fastidious attention to detail and availability at all hours, have endeared him to his loyal clients. Moreover, he teaches CLE classes on the Appellate Process, including, but not limited to, the efiling requirements of NYSCEF in the Appellate Division.
Eric is a graduate of New York University with a B.A. in Politics and a minor in Economics. He received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1997. He was a published writer for, and an Editor of, the Cardozo Women's Law Journal. He is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Eric lives in New Jersey with his wife. He has a married son and two other children. He is a weekend warrior athlete, coach, creative writer, amateur singer/musician and tutor.

In 2006, Iryna launched her professional career at PHP as a data entry clerk. It wasn't long before management recognized her outstanding eye for detail and knack for working in databases while quickly gaining a reputation for a strong work ethic.
As Iryna's proficiency became increasingly apparent, she was entrusted with greater responsibilities and was instrumental in overhauling PHP's outdated contact management software to a state-of-the-art CRM system. Taking charge of the project and diving headfirst into the development of the CRM, Iryna took a "follow my lead" approach and in step with management set up a sales and marketing system that helped propel PHP to greater sales heights.
As Director of CRM and Lead Generation, Iryna plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's interactions with its customers while playing a hand in revenue growth. Her deep understanding of data-driven insights coupled with her easy-going manner and ever-present smile has earned Iryna the respect and admiration of every coworker at PHP.

As a veteran in the legal industry, John has been an integral part of the appellate landscape since 1989. Throughout his 35 years he has been at the forefront of transforming the industry from paper to electronic filing. Along the way, as many age-old competitors made business decisions to exit the industry when new technologies threatened their existence, John embraced this new direction and carved out an aggressive growth path for PHP.
John has been instrumental in negotiating deals with five competitors, namely Echo Appellate, St. Louis West, Appeal Press, Virgil Mountain and Fremont Payne, to strengthen PHP's foothold in the industry and accelerate company growth. The fact that John has maintained excellent working relationships and close friendships with each former business owner is a testament to his character and ability to form business alliances thus allowing PHP to maintain its role as an industry leader.
Further testament of John's strong leadership and unifying character is the longevity of his core team, many of whom have been with him through most of his tenure in the appellate industry. The trust and loyalty he inspires have been key contributors to PHP's continued success and advancements. John's mantra is to always be honest with the entire team and that has allowed the overall company to easily see and buy into his vision and path to continued growth.
John is very much committed to continuing the expansion of PHP's reach in the legal market through further acquisitions inside and outside of the appellate industry. He recently took on a leadership role in PHP's ediscovery affiliate vdiscovery, and is excited by the myriad of possibilities to merge appellate and ediscovery work.
John earned his B.S. in Business Management from the New York Institute of Technology-Old Westbury. He continues to strengthen his leadership and management skills by attending numerous leadership conferences and business summits. John is passionate about developing strong company leaders and frequently sends members of his management team to leadership conferences around the country.
A lifelong Long Islander, John recently celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary and has been blessed with two children and seven grandchildren. He maintains an adroit balance between family and work. He plans to continue doing so for years to come, approaching each endeavor with his typical drive, exceptional vision and always present sense of humor.

John McGorty attended Marist College where he was Captain of the baseball team and selected in the 2003 Major League Baseball amateur draft by the Detroit Tigers. In addition to having played at the high school, college and professional levels, John has also spent a significant amount of time coaching baseball at the NCAA Division I and II levels. He was also an assistant coach for Marist and Dowling Colleges for a combined five years. In 2009, after graduating from Dowling with a bachelor's degree in history, he helped lead Dowling to the NCAA Division II College World Series in Cary, North Carolina.
In 2011, John joined PrintingHouse Press where he immediately began working directly with clients. He became a very quick study in the appellate arena and has since assisted countless attorneys in perfecting appeals and filing appellate briefs in the State and Federal Courts. His success can be attributed to the combination of a customer service-oriented background together with a thorough knowledge of appellate practice and procedure. He is an integral part of the PHP team and works closely with other veterans of the very seasoned staff.
In 2017 John was named in LI Business News's top 40 Under 40. He continues to take an active role in his community and is a member of the "We Care" Golf Committee-the charitable arm of the Nassau County Bar Association. He lives with his wife and two kids in Sayville, where he was inducted into the Sayville Athletic Hall of Fame and volunteers his time coaching various youth sports. John also sits on the Board of Directors for both Sayville Little League and Sayville's PAL Youth Football League.
John's business career began in the Finance sector after obtaining his Series 7 and 63 licenses. Throughout his time in the Financial Industry, John was involved with a UK based clientele which specialized in private client services and other international finance-based matters. He was particularly effective in gaining his clients trust and developing their financial portfolios.
Thereafter, Mr. McGorty segued into the Mortgage industry, managing a team of loan officers for a Commercial/Residential Mortgage Broker. While brokering transactions, John always dealt directly with clients. As with his experience in the financial sector, John very easily and quickly gained his clients' trust by virtue of his wealth of experience in the business world.
Most recently, John has been teaming up with fellow appellate consultant, Eric Kuperman, Esq. in administering a CLE pertaining to local appellate procedures.

When Madeline interviewed at PHP seeking a receptionist position, she had no idea how her trajectory would change as a result. At the time, Madeline was about to commence her clinicals, having pursued a Nursing degree at New York's BMCC. With her usual "can do" attitude, Madeline took on every responsibility she could in her early days at PHP and it did not go unnoticed.
It was soon obvious that Madeline had a head for business and she was quickly promoted to a billing/accounting role. Madeline made a gut decision to change direction and switched her major to Accounting. Now, as the longest tenured employee at PHP, Madeline has risen through the ranks to her present position as Executive Vice President.
Madeline continues to take on responsibilities as necessary, as proven by her involvement in all lines of business at PHP. Her vast purview runs the gamut from evaluating P & L, to overseeing HR, to being a direct report for all managers. She also leads the coordinating efforts between PHP affiliates, vdiscovery and VSEEN and has proven an invaluable and trusted liaison.
With her instinctual ability to communicate openly and honestly with people, Madeline is the go-to person for all employees. She is passionate about promoting from within and has a knack for motivating people to grow through sincere and constructive feedback. Madeline continues to hone her leadership and communication skills by attending management conferences around the country as she helps develop the next generation of leaders and managers at PHP.
As Director of Operations, Maria works closely with all departments, streamlining and improving PHP's vast production and operating systems. She is a critical cog ensuring the seamless flow of work and information. As the Courts have moved towards a larger electronic footprint, Maria has used the opportunity to utilize her computer science background and oversees PHP's ever-expanding electronic filing infrastructure.
Maria is one of the longest serving executives in the appellate industry with more than 35 years' experience. She commenced her career at St. Louis West, rising through the ranks to Executive Vice President. A new chapter unfolded in 2010, when she joined PHP as part of the St. Louis West acquisition. Her long-standing relationships with clients was critical in transferring a twenty-five-year customer base to PHP and helped spearhead the seamless transition of both companies.
The relationships Maria enjoys with clients were developed over many years of troubleshooting complex appellate procedural questions and strategies. She finds satisfaction in assisting long-time clients who still take great comfort knowing they can tap her vast knowledge and keen advice at a moment's notice. Her superior knowledge also means Maria is frequently consulted by her colleagues. The trust bestowed upon Maria by the PHP team is a responsibility she holds dear and embraces wholeheartedly as she encourages and inspires others to follow her commitment to deliver excellence.
Maria's interests extend far beyond the confines of the corporate world. She is an avid reader, a connoisseur of Cuban cuisine and enjoys quiet time with her husband and two children in New Jersey.

After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, where he was the Senior Editor of Law Review, Myron practiced law for a decade, specializing in civil litigation. Then, in the early 1970's, friends offered to sell him a copy store they had recently opened. It seemed like a fun idea, and with his wife and sister available to work, Myron purchased the store and the Village Copier brand was born. However, a promising legal career was ended.
Several years later, with Village Copier growing and humming along, another opportunity presented itself to Myron. Situated a few doors down from Village Copier on 43rd Street was an appellate printer, PrintingHouse Press. Myron had struck up a friendship with the long time owners and was told the business was up for sale. Seeing an opportunity to again align himself with the legal field, Myron purchased PrintingHouse Press and a once small family appellate printer has grown into the leading appellate services provider in the industry. Now almost 50 years later that one store has morphed into a third business, as vdiscovery, the litigation support division, is recognized as one of the country's premier providers of digital forensics and electronic discovery services.

After Paul graduated from Hofstra University in 1984, he began his career as an Investigator at Fidelifacts where he was responsible for conducting background checks on potential employees looking to work in the financial services sector in the Wall Street community.
Mr. LaMar is a graduate of Hofstra University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Political Science. He also received an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Nassau Community College, which was one of the reasons he chose to become an Investigator right out of college. During his time at Fidelifacts, he also successfully passed tests for the Nassau and Suffolk County Police Departments and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Soroya Brantley joined PrintingHouse Press in 2006. As Paralegal Supervisor Soroya has prepared filings at every level of the appellate process, up to and including the United States Supreme Court.
She possesses expert appellate knowledge and is often called upon to navigate the intricate rules of various State and Federal Courts. Soroya also assists in the development of junior members of the paralegal team. Soroya is familiar with the electronic filing requirements within various Courts and is able to produce digital documents in accordance with Court rules. Prior to joining PHP, Soroya worked at various law firms, including Shearman & Sterling LLP.
Soroya has a Bachelor's Degree in English and has written articles for various publications such as The Network Journal, conducted interviews, and reviewed numerous books. Soroya has proven to be a valued member of our team, with a great eye for detail and a proven track record of providing excellent service to our clientele.
Ever since she was a young girl, Victoria Ramos has been fascinated with the legal system. While most kids were playing at the park Victoria would spend hours at the courthouse after school watching attorneys walk in the corridor of the Appellate Division and listen to their cases being heard in front of a panel of judges. When she began her journey at Queens College, she knew that her focus would be on the legal system.
In 2015, she was presented with the opportunity to work for one of the top appellate printers. She relished the opportunity to expand her knowledge on the appellate services industry. Tori joined the PHP team as a sales assistant. For the next six years, she dedicated her time to assisting the appellate consulting team and soaking up their vast knowledge of appellate practice. She used the wealth of knowledge she had gained to train the sales assistants that she worked alongside. Tori prides herself on her teamwork, consistency, and her commitment to her clients.
When she is not assisting clients on their appellate printing and litigation supports needs-she is enjoys spending time in her Brooklyn residence with her family, friends, and rabbit.
