Welcoming our newest member to the team, Andy. His portfolio is vast boasting many years experience on an assortment of vehicles from road, race and rally. Andy worked for Brian … Andy worked for Brian Hart ‘Hart Race Engines' and worked with an abundance of fantastic projects from F1; building engines for Cosworth, DFV and DFZ. Going onto build and maintain the RS200, 6R4, Toyotas and Lancia's in the rally world. He has offered Track support for historic F1 cars, 415T Lola and Tyrell's and more recently supporting the Ginetta V8 race series 24Hr vehicles. The restorations he has been involved in vary from Ferrari, MG, Mini, Riley, Ford, jaguar and much more… Throughout Andy's career he has always been involved in motorsport especially rallying, supporting, running not only his own vehicles but local events.

In 2011 we also ventured into the exciting world of Rallycross. Our team of Suzuki Swifts were campaigned by a variety of customers. We supported both Ryan Weston and Mathew Thomas in the British Junior Rallycross Championship and also ran two cars in the Senior Suzuki Swift Rallycross Championship. Over the course of the season, we supported Ryan as he fought an impressive campaign resulting in him achieving a fantastic result of 2nd place in the championship, whilst Mathew also achieved a commendable 4th place overall.

Dave joined Ramsport back in 2017 as Workshop Manager bringing over 40 years experience in the motor industry. His passion lies in fabrication and his creative flair comes to the fore with his expertise of the English Wheel double curvature panel work. Dave's career highlights include over seven years in product engineering for Landrover Jaguar as well as six years at Jaguar specialists, ‘Leaping Cats' in the Midlands, coupled with accident repair experience and Bodywork and Fabrication work at Tuthill Porsche, Dave really has gained a wealth of skills and knowledge which are well utilised here at Ramsport. Having worked on many types of top-class marques over the years, Dave has shown he can turn his hand to a variety of work within the workshop.

After John had completed his toolmaking apprenticeship in 1989, he embarked on his motorsport journey, beginning his career with Prodrive in the role of machinist. He quickly progressed and moved into the gearbox workshop and it wasn't long before he was out with the World Rally team working alongside Colin McRae, Richard Burns and Carlos Sainz as a team mechanic and car builder and as such, was an integral part of the team in their many successes around the world. Around 2000, John advanced his career further and was hired by the Jordan F1 team as the Test Team Gearbox Technician and worked on the event, alongside Heinz-Harald Frentzen and enjoyed success with their race wins. John's reputation in F1 is of high regard and was very much in demand and he went on to ply his skills for the Super Aguri team as Senior Technician in the gearbox workshop. Working with Brawn GP through 2009's infamous takeover of Honda, John played a part in their historic championship-winning feat in 2009 and once Brawn GP was bought out by Mercedes in 2010, John continued his work for them as Transient Dyno Technician, playing a crucial role in the team towards their F1 Championship victories and continued his work for them up until 2015. John's wealth of experience within the motorsport industry and his knowledge and workmanship are second to none making him a real asset for Ramsport during this exciting phase of growth.

Nico joined the team straight from leaving school. His passions and interests aid in his learning and development within his role as our Technician in the making. He has had the privilege of working with his father and uncles from an early age on all things Volkswagen. From show winning Golfs to his own Beetle project. His enthusiasm and willingness to learn is a huge asset to the team. Nico has already demonstrated his skills by completing a number of mechanical, electrical and trim based tasks within the workshop, whilst always being excited for what new vehicles we have through the workshop doors, and doesn't shy away at a challenge. His dream car to work on is a Porsche 356.

William joined Ramsport in the early part of 2021. He has quickly settled in and has become an adaptable member of the team, From the day to day running of the office, booking in new works and ordering parts, along with taking on the social media platforms and part of the growth of our reputation online. William's completed a mechanical apprenticeship in the south of England, and has worked with lots of marques throughout his time. He moved to North Wales in 2011 and focused his skills with building and maintaining classic mini's in his home garage. And the passion and dedication shines through while he is at ramsport. In William's spare time, he enjoys tinkering with classic cars, spending time with his family, Photography and Videography as part of his YouTube channel, he has also enjoyed playing Golf and other sports to a very high standard.
