ROAD FUND

The Road Fund was established under Section 21(3) of the Public Financial Management and Accountability Act 2011 and operationalised by the Finance (Road Fund) Regulations 2012. It is dedicated to collection of revenue and disbursement of funds for maintenance of roads... Road Fund was established to shift the burden of financing road maintenance from general taxes to road user fees, with the aim of closing persistent financing gaps that characterized road maintenance prior to the establishment of the Fund.
