Anthony Carr - Managing Director

Anthony started his career in Convenience Sales at Nestlé, before moving into Grocery Sales and subsequently Commercial Planning and Execution roles. Working in a small project team to take good commercial practice from across Nestlé's multiple categories, to drive common best practise. After 8 years with Nestlé, Anthony worked in Category and Customer Development roles with Britvic Soft Drinks and Johnson & Johnson. In 2015, Anthony joined Acosta Europe, working with multiple leading brands to drive best practise in their Retail Execution strategy, progressing to Managing Director for Europe. Anthony joined Sellex in mid-2023 as Managing Director to support the next era of growth for the group. Outside of work, Anthony loves football, motorsport and spending time with his wife, children and dogs.

Euan McGlashan

Euan started his career in regional sales at Walkers Snack Foods, before moving to Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE). Whilst at CCE he looked after customers ranging from Sodexo in foodservice, through the education, health and leisure sectors, to grocery with Tesco and Sainsbury's. Following a project to create a revenue management model, Euan then gained consumer marketing experience with the Coca-Cola Company, working across the Coke, diet Coke and Schweppes portfolios.

Jeremy Thomas

After almost five years at Mars Confectionery in sales and category roles, Jeremy moved to Walkers Snacks where he established their Category Development department.At this time Walkers was at the forefront of the introduction of the FMI Category Management Process from the USA to UK. Jeremy continued his career at Britvic Soft Drinks and then GlaxoSmithKline's Nutritionals business. The departments he managed have always balanced generating insight and winning industry awards with commercial success. In November 2002, Jeremy established his own business and started working as an associate of Sellex. Since then, he has undertaken numerous projects that range from establishing Category Visions to modelling sales force efficiency. He has built bespoke analytical tools that include promotional management & evaluation and establishing new trade terms. Outside of work, Jeremy has coached GB Fastpitch softball teams at European Championships and has been a Leicester City season ticket holder for the past 16 years. He also enjoys not being a taxi service for his three children, now they are either at University or have established their own careers.

Mark Whybrow

Mark has a wealth of commercial experience, having held a number of senior sales and buying roles in UK and Europe. He has worked within ABF, Shell, Unilever, Philips and as part of an MBO in a large grocery wholesaler - and it all started in the graduate programme at Northern Foods. He has been an operating board member and has designed and led significant changes to organisation capability, culture, people and strategy in a variety of environments and geographies. During his time at Shell, Mark was responsible for the commercial P&L of the convenience store business in UK, Ireland and Denmark, before later taking on a Global Strategy role covering the Shell Food and Coffee business. In a number of sales leadership roles at ABF, he designed and implemented organisation and strategy changes across a number of market sectors. In 2015, Mark resigned and began a consulting career, focusing on commercial teams and leadership practice. Mark is a licensed practitioner for Insights Discovery and an experienced commercial trainer and coach for both individuals and teams. Mark is a also Mentor for Enterpreneurial Spark, and has been an expert witness to the High Court in the field of commercial relationships and agreements.

Steve Davey

Steve has spent the best part of 20 years working for several big FMCG businesses. He kickstarted his career learning the hard graft of sales at P&G in Convenience Retail and National Accounts. His career has also seen him work for several high-profile companies including Gillette, Philips and Mars Petcare, as well as a brief spell consulting with Roland Berger. In addition to his Sales experience, Steve has developed commercial breadth with roles that encompassed Marketing, Commercial Strategy and eCommerce. He has led the UK Oral-B and Pampers businesses, and been privileged to lead the UK Sales teams at both Philips and Mars. This cross functional breadth gives Steve a broad perspective on the opportunities and challenges that all teams face in defining, designing and delivering their commercial plans. Most recently Steve has been driving Sellex's e-Commerce offering both from a strategy and capability perspective, advising a number of clients on how best to both develop and leverage their offering to win in this fast growing and dynamic channel.
