Barrie is one of the founding partners of thenhotels group, creating the company in 2007. Prior to that and together with Richard McKevitt, Barrie formed MoreThanhotels. They started the company and through strategic acquisition and construction of new builds they created a brand that owned and operated 12 Express by Holiday Inn Hotels. The business was sold in October 2007 for £120m returning more than £50m in shareholder value. Barrie's experience also includes being a member of the senior executive team at Stakis/Hilton, helping the company's 40 UK hotels generate a turnover of £400 million.
Chris Gillett joined the group in 2015 from Prima Hotels where he worked as Managing Director of their management contract division. Prior to joining Prima Hotels Chris has worked as Managing Director for Macdonald Managed Hotels and Managing Director of De Vere Hotels, as well as Chief Operating Officer for Thistle Hotels Ltd.
