X-System has developed technology to model the effect of music on the human brain. Our first application is to select music as a treatment for intractable epilepsies and we expect to go on to treat insomnia, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic depression... We remain indebted to Paul for his contribution to the invention of INRM. Paul was leader of the Medici String Quartet, Professor of Music at the Peninsular Medical School, fellow of Green Templeton College, Oxford and an Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine... We call this the Innate Neurophysiological Response to Music (INRM). Our model is universal and independent of culture or music preference. It can be used to choose music to change how we feel - to calm or to activate; to make us feel happy or sad. It can also be used to entrain specific patterns of brainwave activity, which is how we use it to treat intractable epilepsies
