I never really trained any of my dogs before. It wasn't until I adopted an 85 lb., 18 month old UNTRAINED American Bulldog mix did I fully understand the importance of training your dog….not just for your sanity, but also for his since a trained dog is a happier more settled dog. I quickly learned that I wasn't training my dog but actually training myself to train my dog -learning how to communicate and show him how to fit in to our household.
