Barbara C. Jobst, MD, PhD is Professor of Neurology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, the Louis and Ruth Frank Endowed Professor of Neurology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, Vice Chair and Section Chief in the Adult Neurology Department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Director of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Epilepsy Center. She has extensive leadership experience and is a graduate of ELAM (Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine). She has served on the Board of Trustees of Dartmouth-Hitchcock. She received her medical degree in Germany and trained in epilepsy surgery. She was an exchange student at Dartmouth Medical School in 1992. Barbara came to DHMC in 1996 for her residency and is on faculty since 2001. She established the Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring Program where she gained experience in the operative environment. She also established the Women's Seizure Clinic at DHMC and in 2007 assumed leadership of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Epilepsy Center. Under her leadership, the Center became the only nationally recognized level 4 epilepsy center in Northern New England. She established multiple interdisciplinary clinical and research initiatives, many of them representing truly translational projects from bench to bedside. She is well recognized nationally and internationally for her expertise in epilepsy surgery including responsive brain stimulation and cognition in epilepsy. She is well published in the field of epilepsy and frequently invited as a speaker to national and international conferences. She has participated in multiple multi-center clinical trials. Dr. Jobst has worked on public health concerns of epilepsy in conjunction with the CDC. She currently is the principle investigator of the Managing Epilepsy Well Network, one of the thematic research networks of the Center of Disease Control. In addition she has developed a cognitive-behavioral program for memory problems (HOBSCOTCH= home-based self-management and cognitive training changes lives) that is currently distributed and tested in the North East. She has been an active member of professional organizations such as the American Epilepsy Society and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). She currently serves as Chair of the American Epilepsy Society meeting. She is on the editorial board of Neurology and Epilepsy.

Bonnie An Henderson

Bonnie An Henderson, internationally-recognized expert in cataract and refractive surgery, is a Past President of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and a Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Henderson is the Associate Editor for the Journal of Refractive Surgery, has served as the associate editor of Eyeworld of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and on the editorial board of Eyenet Magazine of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Henderson has authored over 175 articles, papers, book chapters, and abstracts and has delivered over 300 invited lectures worldwide including 30 invited Visiting Professorships and 15 Named Lectures. She has published 5 textbooks in cataract and refractive surgery. Her textbook, Essentials of Cataract Surgery, is the one of most commonly used textbooks to teach cataract surgery in the United States. Dr. Henderson created EnVision Summit, the international ophthalmology meeting to support and empower women leaders in medicine. Dr. Henderson's principal research involves cataract surgery outcomes and innovative methods of teaching, including the development of a digital-based method for teaching cataract surgery, supported by a Department of Defense TATRIC grant. She has invented and commercialized a number of medical instruments including the modified capsule tension ring, astigmatism correcting markers, and a capsule polisher. She donates all of her royalties from the textbooks and instruments to charity. Dr. Henderson has received an Achievement Award, the Secretariat Award, and the Senior Achievement Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, "Best of" awards from the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery for her research and films, and the "Teacher of the Year" award from Harvard Medical School. She has been inducted into the honorary International Intra-ocular Implant Club, awarded the Lans Distinguished Award by the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the Suzanne Veronneau-Troutman Woman of the Year Award by Women in Ophthalmology, the Gold Medal by the Indian Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society, and the Visionary Award by the American-European College of Ophthalmic Surgeons. She is featured on the 2019 Power List as one of ten people chosen for the 'Champions for Change' category by the readers of The Ophthalmologist.

Dr. Sherman joined Acceleron in May 2006 and is Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Synta Pharmaceuticals where he was responsible for clinical research, clinical operations, biostatistics, data management, regulatory affairs, quality assurance and program management. Prior to that, Dr. Sherman worked at Genetics Institute and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in various capacities including Therapeutic Area Director for Oncology. While at Wyeth, Dr. Sherman provided senior oncology and hematology leadership for worldwide clinical development for both small molecule and biologic therapeutics, including the submission and approval of Mylotarg® by the FDA. He has published numerous papers and book chapters in the field of oncology and clinical development and is named as an inventor of several patents. Dr. Sherman is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine and held various clinical positions at Harvard Medical School with corresponding hospital appointments at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Sherman received an SB in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MD from Dartmouth Medical School.
