Alexander J. Bollinger

Dr. Bollinger is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery who joined AOA in August 2017. Dr. Bollinger is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, and earned his medical degree with distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Michigan State University, before finishing his hand and upper extremity fellowship at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he was mentored by some of the nation's top hand and shoulder surgeons. Dr. Bollinger's specialty training focuses on trauma, reconstruction, nerve compression, and other disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, and shoulder. He has given many presentations at regional and national meetings and enjoys staying up-to-date with new research and innovative techniques to help his patients improve their quality of life. Outside of his professional activities, Dr. Bollinger enjoys golfing, running, cycling, swimming, and-most importantly-spending time with his wife, two little boys, and their golden retriever.

Bradley R. Dart

Dr. Dart is a fellowship trained and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and pelvic surgery including joint replacement, hip arthroscopy and fracture care. In addition he specializes in fractures of the shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, hip, pelvis, femur, knee, lower leg and ankle. Dr. Dart is from Wichita, Kansas and obtained his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Kansas. He returned to Wichita after completing his fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2007. He joined the AOA practice in 2009. He was the first surgeon in Wichita to utilize the direct anterior approach for total hip replacements. He is also one of the few surgeons in the area who perform hip arthroscopies. In addition to his practice Dr. Dart serves at the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at Via Christi. He is also the Program Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Program for the KU School of Medicine in Wichita. He enjoys going to conferences, staying up to date on the latest techniques in orthopedics, teaching and ensuring our future orthopaedic surgeons are well prepared to provide quality care to their future patients.

Brandon R. Scott

Dr. Scott is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in trauma involving fractures of the pelvis, upper extremities, and lower extremities. He is from Chatsworth, Georgia, and he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Following medical school, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Scott completed his orthopedic trauma fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky in 2018, and he joined Advanced Orthopaedic Associates in September 2018. He enjoys being active in the education of others and staying up-to-date in the current knowledge and techniques involved in treating his patients' injuries and improving their quality of life. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing guitar, outdoor activities, and Georgia football.

Brennen L. Lucas

Dr. Lucas is a respected orthopaedic surgeon who is on the forefront and the leading edge of sports medicine in Wichita and throughout Kansas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Biology degree from University of Kansas (GO JAYHAWKS!!!) and attended medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. After his residency, Dr. Lucas traveled to the San Diego Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center where he completed a rigorous fellowship in the field of Sports Medicine. While in San Diego, Dr. Lucas was trained alongside some of the nation's top sports medicine physicians. After completing his fellowship in 2010, Dr. Lucas returned to his native hometown of Wichita, Kansas to begin his practice specializing in the care of shoulder, knee, and elbow injuries. He is constantly in search for newer, more innovative, and effective techniques as well as surgical technologies to provide his patients with the best outcomes and fastest recoveries possible from their injuries. Dr. Lucas works with the Via Christi Sports Medicine Team in Wichita, Kansas which serves local athletes and he personally serves as a team physician for Wichita State University, Newman University, and many of the professional sport teams in Wichita. In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Brennen Lucas enjoys quality family time, enjoying the attractions of Wichita, running, and teaching resident physicians.

Chad M. Corrigan

Dr. Corrigan is a fellowship trained and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacement and trauma including fractures of the shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, hip, pelvis, femur, knee, lower leg and ankle. He is from Niskayuna, New York and obtained his medical degree at the University of Alabama. He did his residency at the University of Tennessee - College of Medicine in Chattanooga. Dr. Corrigan comes to Wichita after completing his fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2014. He joined the AOA practice in September 2014. Dr. Corrigan enjoys staying up to date on the latest techniques in orthopaedics. He is eager to help determine the best treatment option for each of his patients and get them back to their everyday activities and living. Dr. Corrigan enjoys spending time with his wife Kristen and their two children. Of all of his accomplishments, his family is that of which he is most proud. He strongly believes in treating all his patients as he would want his family treated.

Christopher L. Anderson

Dr. Anderson is a fellowship trained and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of knees and hips. He was born in Wichita, Kansas and raised in Rose Hill, Kansas. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and completed a five year orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. Dr. Anderson returns to Kansas after completing a total joint reconstruction fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. There he worked and trained with some of the top joint replacement surgeons in the country and was trained in minimally invasive approaches to these surgeries. He was eager to return to his home state to provide this new minimally invasive approach option to Kansas patients. He is eager to help determine the best treatment option for each of his patients in regard to their knee and/or hip pain. Dr. Anderson is happily married to his wife Lisa and has three children Ben, Emily, and Katherine. Of all of his accomplishments, his family is that of which he is most proud. He strongly believes in treating all patients as he would want his family treated.

Daniel J. Prohaska

Dr. Prohaska is a well-known and respected orthopedic surgeon on the leading edge of sports medicine in Wichita and the Midwest. He graduated with a Bachelor of Biology degree from Kansas State University and attended medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After his residency, he traveled to the the University of Pittsburgh where he completed his fellowship in the field of Sports Medicine. While in Pittsburgh, he worked closely with the University of Pittsburgh athletes as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers football team. After completing his fellowship in 2001, Dr. Prohaska returned to Wichita and began his practice specializing in the care of shoulder, sports-elbow, and knee injuries. He is constantly in search of the newest and most effective treatments and surgical technology to provide his patients with the best outcomes and fastest recovery possible. Dr. Prohaska works with the Via Christi Sports Medicine Team in serving local athletes and he personally serves as a team physician for Wichita State University, Newman University, Southwestern College and Butler County Community College. In addition to all of his professional activities, Dr. Prohaska enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

David T. Gwyn

Dr. Gwyn is a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with additional subspecialty Certification in Surgery of the Hand (formerly CAQ Hand). This hand subspecialty certification recognizes surgeons who, by virtue of additional fellowship training and a practice commitment to hand surgery, have demonstrated qualifications in hand and upper extremity surgery that deserve special recognition. Dr. Gwyn enjoys boating, hunting, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Harry A. Morris

Dr. Morris is a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and upper extremity, hand, microvascular surgery, and arthroscopic surgery. One of the most respected upper extremity surgeons in the Midwest, Dr. Morris practices in Wichita, Kansas as part of Advanced Orthopaedic Associates, a group of 16 highly skilled, orthopaedic surgeons-all committed to excellence in orthopaedic surgery.

Jeffrey T. Shepherd

Dr. Shepherd is a fellowship trained and board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in knee and hip replacement. He was born and raised in the Wichita area and graduated from Goddard High School. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical School and completed a 5 year residency at the University of Kansas - Wichita. Dr. Shepherd joined AOA after completing a total joint reconstruction fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, which is amongst the most prestigious joint replacement centers in the world. He specializes in partial knee replacement, total knee replacement, total hip replacement, robotic-assisted joint replacement, and revision hip and knee replacement.

John A. Childs

Dr. Childs is a fellowship-trained and board eligible surgeon specializing in foot and ankle disorders. He obtained his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences, Kansas City, MO. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation-South Pointe Hospital, Cleveland, OH and will complete his fellowship from Orthopedic Associates of Michigan, Grand Rapids, MI in summer of 2019.

John W. Fanning

Dr. Fanning is a fellowship-trained and board certified surgeon specializing in foot and ankle disorders. He was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, and obtained his medical degree from the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine - Kansas City, Kansas. He did an internship in internal medicine at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and went on to do his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita, Kansas. He finished up by doing his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Baylor University Medical Center - Dallas, Texas. Dr. Fanning joined the AOA practice in April 2000 and before that worked for a private practice in Overland Park, Kansas. Dr. Fanning enjoys bird hunting and scuba diving with his wife and sons.

Phillip F. Hagan

Dr. Phillip Hagan is a highly respected, board certified orthopedic surgeon who joined Advanced Orthopaedic Associates in June 2019. Throughout his medical career, he has garnered a well-deserving reputation for performing at a high level of clinical excellence, and for offering his vast repertoire of expertise in arthroscopy, knee and shoulder surgery, meniscus, cartilage repair, ACL reconstruction, shoulder instability, and labral repair, rotator cuff repair, and total shoulder replacement. As a testament to his professional excellence, Dr. Hagan has held prominent leadership roles at various institutions including being appointed as Chief of Surgery at Liberty Hospital, President of several past practices, and governing board member of an ambulatory surgery center. He has also served on hospital boards. Additionally, Dr. Hagan is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine- Wichita. In light of his exceptional academic career, Dr. Hagan completed his undergraduate studies at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and later obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1986. Thereafter, he completed his residency at The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita in 1991. He went on to complete his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1992. With a commitment to excellence, he became board-certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Hagan is the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014, 2016), On-Time Doctor Award (2015, 2016, 2018), and Patients' Choice Award (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018). He has also been recognized as an Active Teacher in Family Medicine by the American Academy of Family Medicine.

Randall L. Lais

Dr. Lais is a fellowship-trained and board certified orthopaedic traumatologist. Orthopedic trauma physicians specialize in complex injuries to bones, joints and soft tissues (like muscles, tendons and ligaments) throughout the entire body. A native Kansan, Dr. Lais joins AOA from the Baylor Health System in Dallas Texas. He obtained his medical degree and completed residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School followed by fellowship at The University of Maryland- R.A. Crowley Shock Trauma Center. He enjoys hunting and spending time with his teenage children.

Dr. Hendricks joined AOA after completing a total joint reconstruction fellowship at the Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.
