Emily Arena

Emily serves as an account coordinator for Fletcher, providing public relations and marketing support services and assisting with management of client work. Prior to joining Fletcher Marketing PR, Emily served as an intern for The Tombras Group. While there, she managed numerous social media accounts, developed compelling content and engaged with customers to expand their brands. After completion of her Tombras internship, Emily also served as an intern for Fletcher Marketing PR where she assisted with news releases, blogs, email blasts and social media. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Emily holds a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration. She studied public relations abroad in Siena, Italy while in school and was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Emily was also a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and served as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Chairman and was a volunteer for Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.

Kelly Fletcher - CEO

With dual degrees in public relations and fine arts performance in music, Kelly Fletcher's career was on a twin track as an artist and a strategist. Exploring two career paths soon organically narrowed to one, as she emerged a passionate and creative communications professional, directing business development for several national media companies including RIVR Media and Bernard Hodes Group, an Omnicom agency. Kelly eventually became director of corporate communications for Jewelry Television (JTV). Since 2008, Kelly has been building Fletcher into a thriving national marketing and PR agency whose vision is to influence positive social change. Working with regional, national and Fortune 500 companies, Kelly has 20 years in the full spectrum of integrated communications, specializing in the art and science of how people process brand messaging, problem-solve and purchase. She is a sought-after speaker on the topic of marketing to women and has served on the boards of Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, Komen Knoxville, Knoxville Opera and the Women's Fund of East Tennessee. She graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC with a bachelor's degree in communications with a concentration in public relations and a second bachelor's degree in vocal performance.

Mary Beth West

Mary Beth West delivers competitive impact through strategic communications, helping organizations build relationships and brand reputations with diverse stakeholders who are critical to mission-driven and financial success. In her profession and in her 15-year consulting practice - which she sold in January 2018 to Fletcher Marketing PR - Mary Beth's leadership has forged her national reputation as a bold advocate for communications ethics and integrity as well as for specific issues of importance, such as organizational transparency; sound governance; crisis preparedness; and free speech and free enterprise in a democratic society, which are among her passions. Her insights have been included in The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, The Public Relations Strategist and other business publications. Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)-affiliated Universal Accreditation Board, Mary Beth is a past recipient of the PRSA Educators Academy's David Ferguson Award, honoring her national contributions to public relations education.

Sarah Merrell

Sarah serves as director, client service, providing professional public relations and marketing counsel and executing strategic communications and marketing plans. Sarah brings a decade of experience in marketing and business to her role. She began her career as a financial analyst before transitioning into marketing management. She served as marketing manager for an outdoor gear manufacturer and retailer and led the marketing department for Leisure Pools, the largest swimming pool manufacturer in the world. Most recently, Sarah served as a senior account executive for Fletcher, and prior to that as the director of communications for public relations agency Mary Beth West Communications where she led strategic communications plans, executed tactics and handled the evaluation and reporting of results. In 2017, Sarah was a finalist for Outstanding Young Professional of the Year through the Young Professionals of Knoxville and was named one of Asheville's 40 Under 40 Young Professionals in 2012 by the Biltmore Beacon. She holds an MBA degree from Western Carolina University, a B.A. in Communication Studies from UNC Chapel Hill and a Hubspot Inbound Marketing certification. Sarah currently serves on the Zoo Knoxville Leadership Council and mentors high school students through tnAchieves. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, serving as the V Awards Chair in 2017.
