Over the last four years Chris has become one of our key instructors. His professional, fun, approach combined with his knowledge and experience puts our clients at ease and he helps them push their limits and reach new heights. Whilst he specialises in providing fun filled family sessions, his flexibility allows him to work with all types of groups. In his free time Chris can often be found climbing or surfing with his daughter at various beaches or crags in Pembrokeshire. "I have been working in the outdoors for just over a decade and in that time I have learnt, explored and shared my knowledge and passion for adventure with countless people, both young and old. I love sharing my enthusiasm for the natural world and the environment with everyone I meet, especially when in the ocean. Fiona Meikle

Job Titles:
  • Assistant Instructor / Performance Psychology Consultant
Fiona is not only a first-rate Assistant Instructor but also a Performance Psychology Consultant with a passion for sports and the outdoors. Fiona provides performance psychology support to elite and professional athletes in a variety of sports including; triathlon, athletics, cycling, rugby, sailing and climbing. In addition to working with athletes, Fiona also participates in variety of sports and has competed at the elite level, playing ice hockey for the Scotland Ladies National Team for several years and has also sailed across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to St. Lucia, coached football in Malawi, taught snorkelling in Spain and worked in the French Alps.

Ian Barker

Ian is one of the UK's top Outdoor Development Tutors and Instructors. He is very much in demand for his skills and his remarkably effective pragmatic and supportive approach to his work. Ian has worked for Hawk Adventures for over 20 years and is a much valued member of the team. Ian has considerable experience of leading Mountaineering and Wilderness Expeditions all over the world including trips to Everest, Antarctica and countless trips to virtually every region of the World.

Steffan Davies

Job Titles:
  • Development Director
Steff is the Development Director of Hawk Adventures and a key member of instructional staff. His thorough and calm approach ensures the very best quality of delivery. Steff has been working with Hawk Adventures since 2005 and has consistently enabled us to bring enjoyable, challenging and safe activities to our clients. He is a keen caver, and can often be found exploring the subterranean labyrinths of the UK. He holds his SPA, ML, LCMLA L2 and is working towards his CIC. He is heavily involved with South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team, and one of their Advanced First Aid Trainers. "I had my first real wilderness experience when I completed the Expedition section of my Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Ever since then I've been hooked on the outdoors. I love being in an environment that is constantly changing, and dealing with all the challenges that this brings."
