Alenda Durr

​Alenda is a dynamic HR professional with over 20 years of sound HR experience mixed with a solid formal education. As a trusted coach & advisor, she designs interventions to promote engagement, productivity and results, and has been deemed a valued strategic partner. Alenda has extensive progressive leadership experience and has demonstrated expertise across the spectrum of HR. Recently, as a Sr. HR Business Partner at Ecolab, Alenda was responsible for leading and managing the people-management related agenda for six (6) Corporate Functions including the Finance, Legal, Global SH&E and RD&E functions. She worked with leadership to drive various change management projects including post-merger integration planning & rollout for new benefits programs, global job mapping, executive level talent review and enterprise-wide engagement surveying. She proudly shared the responsibility for functional goal attainment and target delivery for these and other HR interventions. As an HR specialist for companies like Cushman & Wakefield, Nalco and the Chicago Transit Authority, Alenda has been responsible for full-cycle talent acquisition; planning, monitoring, and executing company HR compliance programs; streamlining policy and procedures for effective operations; writing employee handbooks and policy manuals; investigating internal issues and serving as the escalation POC; resolving complex employee relations matters; analyzing employee discipline, terminations and layoffs according to pertinent law and company policy; and, directing the company's Diversity & Inclusion efforts.

Dr. Andrea Scott

Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Andrea Scott, PhD is the Dean and an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Dr. Robert K. Jabs School of Business at California Baptist University (CBU). Her publications and research interests involve consumer behavior, advertising, social marketing, and investigating the challenges faced at the intersection of conscience, culture, and marketing. She is a Fulbright Scholar having completed a Teaching and Research Grant at the University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica and is pursuing research projects with the Jamaican Ministry of Health. Incorporating over a quarter of a century of marketing experience, Dr. Scott has keen interest in and significant engagement with public service agencies as well as nonprofit organizations. A project forthcoming in the Journal of Marketing and Public Policy explores the role of storytelling in effective nonprofit marketing efforts. She has advertising agency experience with national clients such as General Mills and Wrigley at DDB and BBDO in Chicago, worked with NBC during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, was a business analyst for Honeywell, Inc., and started and still owns The Write Touch (marketing consulting firm).
