Dr. Aaliyah Gibbons

Dr. Aaliyah Gibbons earned her Doctorate and Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington D.C. Campus (TCSPP DC), APA-accredited program. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science and Biology from Clarkson University. Dr. Gibbons works with children, adolescents and adults. She has completed diverse clinical training in a variety of settings including: inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers and outpatient clinics. Dr. Gibbons utilizes a holistic perspective and teaches clients how our biology, social environments, and internal experiences work together to promote healing and wellness. She is integrative in her approach to therapy and employs techniques from: psychodynamic theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as other evidence-based behavioral and trauma-informed practices into treatment. She helps her clients develop hope, resiliency, and positive coping skills in the face of hardship and overwhelming experiences. In her work with couples, Dr. Gibbons utilizes the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy (GMCT) and she has completed GMCT Level 1 of training. Dr. Gibbons's clinical interests include: trauma, relationships, identity development, substance use and psychological assessment. Dr. Gibbons is an adjunct professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington DC.

Dr. Iren Valentine

Dr. Iren Valentine earned a Doctorate in School/Clinical Psychology from an Pace University, New York, NY, APA-accredited program. She also earned a Master's degree in School/Community Psychology from Pace University. Dr. Valentine graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bard College and she is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia. Dr. Valentine has over 15 years of clinical experience and has worked in a variety of mental health settings including an: outpatient community mental health center, inpatient psychiatric hospital, psychiatric emergency room, rape crisis program, adolescent day treatment program, and university counseling center. Additionally, as the spouse of a retired military member she understands the unique challenges of former military members and their families. Dr. Valentine works with a wide range of clients including teens, adults, couples, and families. She has extensive experience working with clients of diverse backgrounds and identities. Her areas of specialization include: adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, identity development, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and relationship issues. Dr. Valentine utilizes an integrative approach that incorporates Psychodynamic Theory, Solution-Focus, Strength-Based, and Person-Centered principles. In her work with couples, she utilizes the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy. Her therapeutic style is caring, warm, honest, and empathic. She collaborates with clients to identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that interfere with their optimal well-being and supports clients in gaining insight, self-awareness, and problem-solving skills. Dr. Valentine believes in the importance of continuing education and life-long learning. She has completed the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy Level 1 training as well as the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) training. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA).

Dr. Jordan Ohanesian

Dr. Jordan Ohanesian holds a Doctor of Psychology and Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the George Washington University, an APA accredited program. She also earned a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from the George Washington University. Dr. Ohanesian graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Dr. Ohanesian completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC. Additionally, she has worked within a variety of clinical settings to include community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, and forensic clinics with individuals of varying ages and stages of development. Dr. Ohanesian understands that each person's experience and background is unique and aims to provide a collaborative space where clients feel understood, supported, and gently challenged as they embark on their own personal journeys. She works with adults, couples, and teens. Dr. Ohanesian takes an active and individualized approach to treatment, integrating interventions from a variety of theories and orientations that are best suited to each client's strengths, needs and identities. Dr. Lauren Price

Dr. Lauren Price earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology-an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. She earned her master's degree in clinical psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology and an additional master's degree in forensic and legal psychology from Marymount University. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Sociology-Criminology and minor in Psychology from Ohio University. Dr. Price completed an APA-accredited predoctoral psychology internship at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital located in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she completed a forensic psychology fellowship approved by the American Board of Forensic Psychology (ABFP) at Forum Ohio, LLC located in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Price has completed additional clinical training in outpatient and inpatient settings, where she worked with individuals and families struggling with mood difficulties, emotional, and behavioral dysregulation, and challenges in interpersonal functioning. Dr. Price specializes in working with pre-teens, teens, and young professionals. Her treatment specialties include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, school and career stress, trauma, and relational distress. Dr. Price is also passionate about addressing race-related stress and consistently strives to cultivate a safe space where individuals of color can be seen, heard, and understood. Dr. Price believes in meeting her clients right where they are. She utilizes a client-centered approach and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and mindfulness-based techniques to provide personalized care to each of her clients. Virginia "GiGi" Gallup Larsen

Dr. Gallup Larsen earned a Doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from James Madison University's Combined-Integrated Doctoral Program, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. Prior to returning to school for her doctorate, she also obtained her Master's and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in School Psychology from George Mason University, a National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) accredited program. Dr. Gallup Larsen served as a school psychologist in Alexandria, Virginia for over a decade; and while there, was recognized as the School Psychologist of the Year for 2013 by the Virginia Academy of Schools Psychologists (VASP). Dr. Gallup Larsen completed an APA-accredited Pre-Doctoral internship in the Psychiatric Mental Health Clinic (PMHP) and the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress (CCFTS) with Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. The PMHP at Kennedy Krieger Institute provides diagnostic evaluation and treatment services for children and adolescents who are having difficulty with mood, behavior, or relationships at home, within the family, at school, and with peers. The CCFTS provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to children, adolescents and families who have experienced or may be at risk for trauma. In these urban outpatient settings, Dr. Gallup Larsen collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to provide outpatient therapy and interventions to children, adolescents, and their families. She also completed comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. Over the course of her doctoral training and professional work, Dr. Gallup Larsen has worked in public and private school settings, in outpatient clinics, and in residential settings. Dr. Gallup Larsen specializes in treating children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Her specific areas of interest include anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), tic disorders, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and adjustment-related distress. Dr. Gallup Larsen uses an assimilative-integrative approach to best meet the unique needs of her individual clients. This approach emphasizes a client-centered, systemic approach that is also informed by cognitive-behavioral, developmental, and relational evidence-based treatments. Dr. Gallup Larsen approaches her work with each client and family using an open and warm therapeutic style which puts her clients at ease. Dr. Gallup Larsen greatly values diversity and culture, and views therapy as a collaborative process meant to foster positive change as clients and families develop more compassion for themselves and one another.
