Christine works on personal injury and medical negligence cases by providing support to the specialist spinal cord injury solicitors and our clients.
Prior to becoming a Paralegal, Christine qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2002 and in 2014 completed her Law Degree through the Open University.
Christine understands the life-changing impact a spinal cord injury can have, not only for the injured person but also their family and friends. Christine enjoys making a difference to our client's lives, by assisting the solicitors in securing early access to rehabilitation and treatment.
Christine feels privileged to work for our clients and assist them through the claims process from the initial enquiry through to settlement, during a very traumatic time in their lives.
She is proud to work for Aspire Law, as it appeals to her caring and but also because she loves the fact that 50% of our profits goes directly to Aspire the charity and in turn, this money provides support and services to those within the spinal cord community regardless of whether they can bring a claim for compensation.

A graduate of University College London, Damian was called to the bar in 1993 and is dual qualified as a barrister and a solicitor. Damian can assist clients who lack capacity to manage their own affairs and is a Court of Protection approved Deputy.

Matthew is a Senior Solicitor within Aspire Law leading one of the dedicated teams working on behalf of clients who have sustained a spinal cord injury, to access rehabilitation and compensation.
Matthew has extensive experience of working for those who have suffered a life changing injury. He embarked on his legal career in 1999 and exclusively works on behalf of the injured client in personal injury cases.
Where possible, Matthew will always meet with his clients to understand their situation and objectives. Matthew enjoys working as part of a team to establish liability having garnered extensive experience in acting for client where liability is initially denied. Matthew endeavours to progress claims effectively and efficiently by identifying the key milestones for a client. This includes ensuring best funding is available, assessing the merit of a case, accessing rehabilitation, securing financial interim payments, and working with leading experts to secure best evidence.
Matthew appreciates that rehabilitation is of paramount importance to clients to maximise their outcomes.
Matthew is the Aspire Law lead on the industry "Serious Injury Guide" which is a code encouraging the parties to collaborate in cases of high value with a view to ensuring access to early rehabilitation and financial payments.
Rabia graduated from the Queen Mary University of Law and achieved a 2:1 LLB (hons). She then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Bloomsbury and qualified as solicitor in September 2013 where she chose to specialise in medical negligence claims.
Rabia is a solicitor dealing with highly complex and high-value medical negligence claims. Rabia joined Aspire Law in January 2019 to help clients who have suffered life-changing and catastrophic injuries.
She is passionate about understanding all of our clients on an individual basis because she knows that even similar types of injuries can affect individuals and their families differently.

Raquel is an Ambassador for Horatio's Garden - a national charity creating and nurturing beautiful gardens in NHS spinal injury centres to support everyone affected by a spinal cord injury.
Raquel was a Patient Representative on a specialist panel tasked with developing and drafting NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) Guidelines on the prevention and management of pressure ulcers. This guidance was published in April 2014 and is the current leading authority within the UK's NHS.

Ryan qualified in March 2024 and assists both the personal injury and medical negligence teams with their spinal cord injury cases. Ryan joined Aspire Law in November 2021 so he could work in an incredibly rewarding practice area where he could make a difference to clients' lives.
Having graduated from the University of Southampton in 2017 with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, Ryan studied the GDL at the University of Law and graduated with a Distinction.
Ryan started his career in law in 2019 in commercial property and later residential property. Prior to law, Ryan worked in the NHS as a Healthcare Assistant in Accident & Emergency.
Both through learning about neurology at university and through caring for patients with spinal cord injuries, Ryan has gained a real insight into the effect an SCI has on someone's life.

Skye is a medical negligence paralegal supporting our team with their spinal cord injury cases. She is delighted to join such a strong team, where she will be able to support clients through important, life changing litigation.
Having graduated from the University of Birmingham with an honours degree in Law in 2022, Skye started the Barrister Training Course in Holborn, London. Skye passed all her training and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2023.
Skye first became interested in medical negligence during her Law degree, where she wrote her dissertation on the medical negligence system in England and Wales. For the past year, Skye has volunteered at the medico-legal society in London. Skye is also grateful to have been mentored by a senior clinical negligence specialist at a leading London NHS trust for the last few years.
Skye was the first student to be invited to become a member of the Birmingham Law Society's Pro Bono Committee, where she was in a sub-committee for organising Pro Bono week events for the West Midlands. Throughout her undergraduate degree, Skye volunteered at the University of Birmingham's Pro Bono group in their Free Legal Advice Group. For the past year Skye has volunteered at the Rolls Building Arts and Education Trust, supporting sessions for year 12 and 13 school children.
Tejal graduated from Liverpool John Moore University and went on to study the Legal Practice Course at Leicester De Montfort University. She qualified as a solicitor in November 2008.

Tiago is a spinal cord injury specialist solicitor at Aspire Law in the medical negligence and personal injury team.
Tiago gained experience in personal injury cases working as a paralegal and during his training as a solicitor. He qualified as a solicitor in September 2019 and joined Aspire Law in April 2023. Prior to joining Aspire Law, Tiago was a solicitor assisting senior colleagues with a wide variety of medical negligence claims where clients have suffered significant injuries affecting them to differing degrees and intensities. Tiago's former experience includes spinal injuries arising from Road Traffic Collisions and cauda equina syndrome.
Tiago understands that bringing a claim for medical negligence and personal injury is daunting. His priority with every client is to simplify the complexities of the litigation process into clear and practical advice with the aim of progressing matters to a successful resolution for each client.
Outside of work, Tiago enjoys keeping fit in the gym and scuba diving in UK coastal waters (weather permitting!) He is also a keen ‘indoor gardener' and grows a large variety of houseplants.
