Alison Jackson

Alison is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 12 years' worth of experience, where she has undertaken Building Surveying Services for clients across the UK and Ireland. Before heading up the Carter Towler Building Services department, Alison spent over 6 years in a senior position at an international commercial property organisation and spent over 5 years as a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for both Building Surveying and Facilities Management undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Leeds Beckett University. Alison and her team provide pragmatic and expert advice to clients in all areas of Building Surveying including Contract Administration and Employer's Agent services, preparing Schedules of Condition, Building Reinstatement Insurance Valuations, preparing and defending Final, Terminal and Interim Schedule of Dilapidations on behalf of Landlords and Tenants, Building Pathology / Defect Surveys, Preventative Planned Maintenance Surveys, Technical Due Diligence Surveys, Building Survey Reports for leasehold/freehold interests, Monitoring Services, and End of Defects Snagging Reports. Alison is also an RICS APC Mentor and Assessor for the Building Surveying pathway, and she also formed part of the RICS Matrics Committee for Yorkshire and Humber for 5 years as a Committee Member and Vice Chair. Outside of work, Alison enjoys attending fitness classes, undertaking home and garden improvements and snowboarding.

Chris Green

An MRICS qualified Chartered Surveyor, Chris has 10 years' specialist valuations and landlord & tenant experience. He has a wealth of knowledge having worked with many major financial institutions, pension funds and corporate landlords, high worth individuals and occupiers. Heading up Carter Towler's Professional Services department, Chris manages one of the busiest teams in the region. He and his colleagues provide expert valuation and landlord & tenant services including guidance on all aspects of rent reviews, lease renewals, dispute resolution and portfolio management. Like his brother (and Professional Services team colleague) Mark, Chris likes to keep fit. His favourite sporting activities are fell running and mountaineering.

Chris Lewis

He is responsible for a portfolio of over 300 properties which encompasses a wide variety of sectors, primarily commercial property including industrial, retail and offices but also a number of residential units. Clients appreciate his ability to manage large transaction volumes with a high degree of accuracy.

Clem McDowell

Clem already has over 8 years office agency experience gained whilst working at one of the largest international property consultancies where he also provided valuable capital markets, corporate recovery, valuation and development advice. He was involved in the marketing of a number of highly successful city centre and out-of-town office schemes. A keen sportsman, Clem particularly enjoys rugby and skiing but not at the same time!

Ian Greenwood

Specialising in the acquisition, letting and sale of property within both the industrial and warehousing markets, he has been involved with a high proportion of newly developed stock across this key industrial hub. Jacques Esterhuizen

Jacques is a highly motivated property investment specialist. He held a number of senior positions at leading national commercial property organisations prior to heading up Carter Towler's Investment division in 2019. With extensive knowledge of the capital markets, Jacques has provided advice, execution and management services for a high volume of property investment deals. His clients include leading UK and overseas institutions, property companies, private equity funds, local authorities and high net worth investors. As well as being a keen sportsman, Jacques has a deep appreciation for barbequing, as long as it's a South African-style braai.

Josh Holmes

Josh joined Carter Towler in 2012 and became a Director in 2017. He has several years' experience in the Yorkshire Industrial market. Specialising in the acquisition, letting and sale of industrial and warehouse property, he has received many accolades for his work including Estate Gazette's North and West Yorkshire Deal Maker award. The award is given to the agent that has completed the most transactions across all sectors and Josh has won it for three out of the last four years. Matthew Faulkes

Matthew brings a keen eye for detail and an experienced, multi-disciplinary background covering property management. which has enabled a strong unit to be forged across the Property Management team he heads up at Carter Towler. This approach has seen the firm grow a Co-operative portfolio from around forty properties in 2002 to over five hundred today and which now accounts for nearly half his team's work. He cites a joined up approach, together with staff continuity, as two of the major factors for his team's success. Matthew joined the company in 1992 and graduated from Sheffield Hallam with a 2:1 honours degree and became a Chartered Surveyor in 2000.

Richard L. Fraser

Richard joined Carter & Co Commercial in 1985 to deal with all aspects of office and industrial agency. In 1989 he started concentrating his efforts on office instructions and now specialises in office agency whilst also providing advice on professional valuation matters relating to office properties. His clients include UK Property Investment Funds, local and national property companies and developers and private individuals.

Tim M. Rhodes

Tim brings over thirty years' experience and extensive commercial skills to the Property Management team at Carter Towler. He joined the firm as a partner in 2002 and brings valuable general practice and transactional experience, having worked for clients throughout the UK, particularly in the industrial and office sectors and for high net worth individuals across Yorkshire.
