Andrew Carrick

Andrew has been a Chartered Valuation Surveyor since 2006 and is an RICS Registered Valuer. After graduating from the University of Northumbria with an Honours Degree in Urban Property Surveying, he started his career with Langley Taylor in 2003, being made an Associate in 2007. In 2019 he joined Fifield Glyn, following a merger with Langley Taylor, and works in the Mayfair office. He is involved with leasehold reform valuations and negotiations, residential valuation and ground rent reviews, planning and listed building advice, commercial lease renewals and rent reviews under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and asset valuations. In relation to leasehold reform, Andrew has given evidence at the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) as an expert witness. Andrew has been involved with LionHeart (the RICS' benevolent fund, supporting RICS professionals and their families) since 2009 and became a trustee of the charity in 2014. He is a past chairman of RICS Matrics London Committee, the younger membership branch of the RICS supporting, networking and developing young professionals. He was elected a member of the Hermes Club in 2009 and the 1913 Wilderness Club in 2017.

Barrie Martin

Barrie has extensive experience in the locality having spent all his working life at Martin Russell Jones (now Fifield Glyn) where he trained, qualified and was Senior Partner for several years. Barrie is also a specialist in Party Wall Awards. Barrie was awarded an MBE for services to Education in the 2014 New Year's Honours List, as Chairman of Governors at Queen Elizabeth School in Barnet.

Born 1973 Company Secretary of Fifield Glyn Ltd. Charles commenced practice with Fifield Glyn in 1995, having gained a degree from the University of Reading at The Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. He was elected a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1998 and elected a Fellow of the RICS in 2009. Charles is responsible for Regulation at Fifield Glyn and also acts on behalf of various clients throughout England and Wales. Charles is an RICS Registered Valuer. Charles was National Chairman of RICS matrics in 2007/8 and Hon Secretary 2002/5, Chairman of RICS Greater Manchester Junior Organisation (now RICS matrics) in 2002/3. He was a member of RICS International Governing Council 2006/8. He was elected a Member of the Chartered Surveyors (1938) Club in 2004, the 1913 Wilderness Club in 2008 and the Manchester Society of Land Agents & Surveyors in 2009. Charles served three terms as an elected Councillor on Cheshire West & Chester Borough Council from 2011 to 2023

Born 1972 - Managing Director of Residential Management of Fifield Glyn Limited, Edward commenced practice in 1995 with King Sturge & Co. after graduating from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. He was elected a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1997 and was elected a Fellow of the RICS in February 2012. Edward is also a member of the RICS Dilapidations Forum. Edward was elected a member of the Manchester Society of Land Agents & Surveyors in 2011. In 1997 Edward joined Fifield Glyn Limited initially working in the Management Department prior to being appointed Head of Property Management for Commercial and Residential in 2001. Edward is also Head of the Building Services Department across both Residential and Commercial portfolios and private clients and regularly advises Landlords and Tenants on Dilapidations matters, Schedules of Condition, acting as an Expert Witness and Project Management. He deals with the Section 20 process required under the Landlord & Tenant Act for Major Residential Works, drawing up Specifications and Project Management of Works; Planned Maintenance Programmes to assist in setting programmes of work and suggested reserves; advising Freeholders and Leaseholders on Licences to Alter. He also acts as an Expert in disputes over Service Charges, Lease matters and Major Works and has given evidence at the First Tier Tribunal for both Freeholders and Leaseholders; also undertaking Insurance Reinstatement Valuations for both commercial and residential property. Edward also has in excess of 25 years' experience in Asset Management. Outside of work, he is married with a daughter and enjoys, Cycling, Tennis amongst other outdoor and country pursuits. He is also fond of his Motorbike, when time allows.

Jennifer Ellis

Jennifer leads our Leasehold Reform team. She is one of the most respected expert valuers in the leasehold reform field. Amongst her better known cases are the enfranchisement of Dolphin Square and Nailrile when she pioneered techniques to value the interests of intermediate landlords. She deals with claims throughout England. Jennifer has given evidence to the Upper Tribunal and to First Tier Tribunals for landlords, tenants and intermediate landlords, which is relatively unusual amongst experts as most act for either landlords or tenants. She specialises in the analysis of complex property valuation problems. Jennifer has been a Chartered Surveyor since 1972 and became a Fellow in 1984. She was Senior Partner of Langley Taylor in London before it merged with Fifield Glyn. She has written papers and been joint author of books on the subject as well as speaking at many conferences ands seminars. Jennifer has a close interest in dispute resolution and forensic valuation. Apart from her expert witness work, she has been on the RICS President's Panel of arbitrators and has held private appointments as an arbitrator.

Born 1970 - a Consultant to Fifield Glyn Ltd. Rebecca has been a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (elected 16.08.99)(Residential Survey & Valuation Option) following graduation from the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester. Rebecca has been in practice for 12 years, specialising in high value residential estate agency and other associated work including residential Energy Performance Asessment. Rebecca started her career working with Barnard Marcus in London in 1994, quickly becoming a senior negotiator, before moving to Martin Elliott in Stow-on-the-Wold. In 1997 Rebecca moved to Jackson-Stops & Staff in Chester and remained there until 2000. Rebecca also set up her own firm called Property Insight Ltd which covers all aspects of residential property advice throughout England and North Wales. Between 2002 until 2008 Rebecca worked further for Jackson-Stops & Staff in Wilmslow, where she gained further experience in high value residential properties. Rebecca is a part time Consultant to Fifield Glyn Ltd offering the firm advice on residential property.

Born 1966 - Director of Fifield Glyn Ltd- Chartered Surveyors Richard was educated at Stockport Grammar School and joined Fifield Glyn in 1988 from Sheffield University having obtain a BSc( Hons) Degree in Geography. He qualified and was elected a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1993 and also a Member of the Manchester Society of Land Agents & Surveyors in 2011. He is responsible for the firm's Manchester office and specialises in Commercial and Residential Valuation, Rent Reviews/Lease Renewals and other Leasehold Advisory work. In addition, He acts for both Owners, Occupiers and Landlord and Tenant Clients throughout England and North Wales on occupational and agency matters across all property sectors, including Retail, Office and Industrial, Asset Management, Commercial and Residential Investment, Dilapidations etc As an RICS Registered Valuer, Richard is qualified to undertake RICS Red Book Valuations as well as Commercial and Residential Valuation and Condition Surveys.
