Research and Technology Center "Nanotechnology" specializes in fundamental and applied research in the field of development and practical implementation of multicomponent coatings for various functional purposes (mono- and multilayer, nanostructured, graded) to improve the performance characteristics of materials, assemblies and machine parts, cutting and shaping tools, as well as in the development of technological processes of applying such coatings and equipment for their implementation. The technologies are based on surface treatment processes, formation of coatings from various elements and chemical compounds under conditions of nonequilibrium low temperature plasma and atomic ion modification. Feature of the developed coating deposition processes is their complexity: different methods of coating deposition (plasma chemical CVD, vacuum plasma PVD (vacuum arc, magnetron), ionic saturation and ionic surface treatment processes) are combined in one technological cycle.
