Bishop McVinney School was founded in 1973 as a result of an enthusiastic collaboration of principals, faculty and parents who succeeded admirably in saving Catholic Education for the children of South Providence and the surrounding urban area. Bishop McVinney School continues to serve the Catholic educational needs of a diverse urban population with a proud, inspirational and somewhat miraculous history...
