Dr Jack Heron

Dr Jack Heron is a kidney specialist (nephrologist or renal physician). Dr Heron studied medicine at the University of New South Wales. Dr Heron completed his final two years of medical school at the Albury Wodonga Rural Clinical School. Dr Heron went on to undertake his Internship and Residency at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He completed by Specialist Physicians training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Liverpool Hospital. Dr Heron provides specialist consultation and long-term care for patients with all forms of kidney disease including hypertension (especially early-onset and resistant forms), chronic kidney disease, protein detected in urine (proteinuria), kidney inflammation (nephritis), recurrent kidney stones, and end-stage kidney disease. Dr Heron provides consultation for dialysis treatment (peritoneal and blood-based dialysis) and kidney transplantation. Dr Heron also provides kidney transplant assessments (both donor and recipient). Dr Heron is a Staff Specialist physician at Albury Wodonga Health. Problems that are commonly referred to Dr Heron include: High blood pressure (hypertension) Reduced kidney function Protein and/or blood in the urine Management of dialysis treatment Management of a kidney transplant Assessment for kidney transplantation (donor and/or recipient) Salt imbalances in the blood

Dr Nick Sharrock

Dr Nick Sharrock is a geriatrician. A geriatrician is a specialist doctor, trained under the Royal Australian College of Physicians, that takes a holistic approach to health issues related to ageing. Nick completed his medical degree at Monash University, and completed physician and geriatrics training at Eastern Health and Peninsula Health in Melbourne. He is a staff specialist at Albury Wodonga Health. Within geriatric medicine, Nick is interested in cognitive impairment, delirium, reviewing polypharmacy, frailty, depression and anxiety in older people and comprehensive geriatric assessment as a tool to improve health and wellbeing. Nick may decline to complete some decision making capacity assessments. When you arrive for your first appointment you will be greeted by one of our friendly administration staff who will put you at ease in our modern and comfortable waiting room.

Dr Roo Killick

Dr Roo Killick is a Sleep Physician and sees patients with a range of sleep disorders at Border Physicians Group. She is a graduate of Cambridge and London Universities and moved to Australia in 2001. She completed her FRACP in 2008 after specialist training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. She then did a PhD at Sydney University examining the metabolic and neurobehavioural effects of sleep loss, resulting in the award of a university prize. She continues to be involved as an investigator in sleep clinical trials at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research in Sydney. She lives in Albury with her young family and works two sessions a week at BPG.
