His grandfather(Clay Matthews Sr.), father(Clay Matthews Jr.), uncle(Bruce Matthews), brother(Casey Matthews), cousin(Kevin Matthews), have all played in the NFL, and his brother(Kyle Matthews), cousin(Jake Matthews), have played in college, and his cousin(Mike Matthews), is in high school and is being recruited. That's a long family line of football players!
