SIGHT WORDS

We have created a video to be used by Kindergarten students, their teachers, and their parents/family to help the students learn and practice their sight words... The video introduces words from the Kindergarten Sight Words List to the kindergarten students in small groups for each Nine Weeks. We began by creating a PowerPoint with transitions, animations, and voice overs. Each slide introduces a word, has the letters appear individually, repeats the word, uses the word in a sentence, includes a graphic for the sentence, then repeats the word as it is highlighted in the sentence... We then took the PowerPoint and converted it into a windows media file. This video was saved on our school network for teachers in our building to use in their classrooms to show whole group on their Promethean Boards or individually at computer learning stations.
