JINJOO YANG

Jinjoo Yang, born in Seoul, currently resides in Montreal. Yang studied arts at Seoul National University in Korea, and architecture at the Cooper Union. She creates installations and multi-channel videos reflecting on the unique contexts of sites. Yang's sound-generating kinetic installation 'Belfry' was showcased at Oil Tank Culture Park in Seoul. Her architectural drawing 'Generative Architecture' was exhibited at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and 'No Talk' was screened at the Architecture and Film symposium in Toronto. In 2023, she was an artist-in-residence at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
