VANCOUVER MINING EXPLORATION GROUP

The Vancouver Mining Exploration Group (M.E.G.) is a non-profit organization directed by mining, exploration and government representatives. The M.E.G. exists to promote the sociable exchange of geological and technical information at a series of luncheon meetings held during the traditional 'off-season' (fall through spring of each year). The meetings feature talks on new discoveries, breaking developments and deposit descriptions. The M.E.G. was founded in 1957 and has served as a model for at least three similar groups in Calgary, Kamloops, and Smithers.
