Maurice is a CIPFA qualified accountant with a joint honours degree in Economics and Public Administration. He has worked in, or consulted to, the public sector for over 25 years... He originally worked for the London Borough of Southwark where he qualified as a public sector accountant. Whilst at Southwark he was responsible for the Housing Reveue Account and the implementation of Compulsory Competitive Tendering. He was also responsible for a number of local authority companies... He was then recruited by Cooper & Lybrand (PwC) where he developed new financial management techniques for the emerging government agencies. He also worked on Project CAPITAL where he was responsible for delivering an awareness education and training programme across the Ministry of Defence.
