The BioMEDA study is conducted by the Cedars-Sinai Cardiac Imaging Research (CSCIR) group at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Research remains a critical element of CSCIR and we maintain a commitment to staying on the cutting edge with basic and clinical research. Hundreds of trials are currently underway ranging from the study of basic biochemical processes related to atherosclerosis to the development of noninvasive angiography. CSCIR is a not-for-profit group practice and our physicians receive no direct financial compensation based on the number of patients they see or procedures they perform. CSCIR is comprised of cardiologists, physicists, epidemiologists, and a staff of computer programmers, technologists, biostatisticians, and research assistants. Our physicians and scientists are widely considered to be world leaders in their respective fields.
