Warm or cold water, never hot. In leather, hot water stimulates sebum production in the sebaceous glands, removes natural protection and leads to water loss. In the hair, it dilates the cuticle increasing the nutrient and water loss of the hair. Results: Increased oiliness (rebound effect), increased porosity, loss of shine and dryness of the leather and hair... Cold water increases the shine of the hair by constricting the cutaneous cells. Abuse it in the summer.
