Ms. McIntyre earned her Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biochemistry with minors in Business and Pre-Health from The University of Texas at Austin in 2017. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2021.

Ms. Grover specializes in the defense of labor and employment cases, including those arising under the Defense Base Act and the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. Ms. Grover believes that her ability to find creative solutions to complex issues serves as one of the greatest services she can offer her clients.
Ms. Grover graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas in 2006. Ms. Grover was also recognized as the Outstanding Graduate in Political Science for her graduating class. She graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2009 from South Texas College of Law where she served as a Langdell Scholar for Civil Procedure and Co-Editor in Chief of the Construction Law Journal. Ms. Grover was awarded the Dean's Merit Scholarship and Howard Warren Scholarship upon her admittance to South Texas College of Law in 2006.
Ms. Grover's prior experience includes two internships at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. During her internship with the Honorable Judge David Hittner, Ms. Grover focused on drafting final orders and orally presenting them for approval. She also had the opportunity to engage in numerous discussions regarding evidentiary rulings and trial tactics with Judge Hittner. While interning with Magistrate Judge Calvin Botley, Ms. Grover primarily spent her time drafting final orders on Social Security cases.
Ms. Grover was admitted to the Texas Bar in November 2009. She is currently a member of the American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and Ballet Barre - Young Professionals for Houston Ballet

Most of Ms. Sheppard-Wilson's work primarily focuses on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
Prior to joining Brown Sims, Ms. Sheppard-Wilson worked as a personal injury attorney, where she acquired invaluable experience.
Ms. Sheppard-Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston, and received a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston where she graduated #5 in her class. Ms. Sheppard-Wilson's proudest moment thus far was when she taught Constitutional Law to a class of high school students. When not litigating, Ms. Sheppard-Wilson enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to podcasts, and solving puzzles.

Allen Hemphill is a no-nonsense attorney who finds every case satisfying because he believes he can always help his client realize a better result. His goal is to obtain a summary decision; however, when that is unavailable he attempts to negotiate the best disposition possible for his client.
One particular case illustrates what is satisfying about law for Mr. Hemphill. It was a wrongful death case with several national corporations as fellow defendants pointing fingers at his client, a smaller company. He was able to poke holes in the theories advanced by the larger defendants and received a good result for his client.
Mr. Hemphill earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from Trinity University in 1991, magna cum laude. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996.
He came to the law because he enjoys the combination of scholarship and an adversarial aspect. He has an MBA and originally worked as a general counsel along with handling more traditional business activities for the same company. After deciding to concentrate on the legal profession fulltime, he developed an approach to the law that allows him to get the best possible result for his client.

Ms. Wolf's practice primarily focuses on the defense of claims arising under the Louisiana Workers' Compensation Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, and the Defense Base Act.
Ms. Wolf received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2016. In spring 2016, she received the Student Government Association's first Campus Impact Award for her time as Campaign Director of the It's On Us campaign. Following, Ms. Wolf received a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2021. While there, she was named a Top Four Oralist in spring 2019. Briana V. Rogers is an Associate Attorney in the firm's Houston office, focusing her practice primarily on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).

Carlo Varela joined Brown Sims as a law clerk in 2018 while in law school. He became an associate attorney at the firm upon is graduation and licensure in 2020.
Mr. Varela's work includes personal injury defense, Texas and federal workers compensation defense, and issues of contract interpretation and insurance coverage.
Mr. Varela received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2007 from the University of St. Thomas, where he studied finance and completed the CFP® Board Certification Education Program. He received a Juris Doctor in 2019 from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he completed the transactional practice certificate program. He is a Member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the Nancy F. Atlas Intellectual Property American Inn of Court, the International Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi, and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.

Mrs. Phillips' practice focuses mainly on claims filed under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
Mrs. Phillips was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. She lived in Germany for a year, before going back to Venezuela for her Law degree. While at law school she worked for the Legal Department of Chevron Venezuela for two years, before leaving to pursue a Master of Law. Mrs. Phillips speaks English and Spanish fluently, as well as German at an intermediate level.
Prior to joining Brown Sims, Mrs. Phillips worked as a Criminal Defense Attorney primarily in the Houston Municipal Court and the Justice of the Peace courts, specializing in Class C Misdemeanors, where she acquired invaluable trial experience.
Mrs. Phillips graduated from the Universidad Católica de Andres Bello, in Caracas, Venezuela in 2014. She was licensed that same year, before leaving to obtain her Masters of Law in Global Energy, International Arbitration & Environmental Law at The University of Texas at Austin in 2015. Mrs. Phillips is licensed to practice both in Venezuela and the State of Texas.

While in law school, Ms. Johnson participated in Thurgood Marshall School of Law's Law Review and published articles for both the school's Law Review and Law Journal.
