Antonio Papageorgiou

Antonio Papageorgiou is a partner in the New York office of Lombard Geliebter Cohen and leads the Patent Practice. Bringing over 19 years of IP experience to the table, he advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent and trademark application preparation and prosecution, appeals, enforcement, and defense, in a broad range of technology, including computers and electronics, software and business methods, and medical devices. Prior to LGC, Mr. Papageorgiou was a partner at Meister Seelig & Fein LLP. Prior to that, he was in-house patent counsel for Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., noted for having established an efficient patent strategy that resulted in a substantial increase in the number and quality of the company's patents. Before becoming an attorney, Antonio was an engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration where he designed and supervised installation of systems and facilities that supported air traffic control, including UHF, VHF, and microwave communications systems, instrument and visual landing systems, RADAR systems, middle and outer markers, approach lighting, and facility power and mechanical systems. Mr. Papageorgiou has represented clients in various administrative and judicial proceedings, including inter partes reviews, reexaminations, and proceedings before U.S. District Courts and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. PRIOR EXPERIENCE Prior to his in-house experience at Cantor Fitzgerald L.P, Mr. Papageorgiou was a partner at Ostrow Kaufman LLP where he managed the firm's patent and trademark prosecution practice. Mr. Papageorgiou worked as an Associate at prominent New York law firms, including Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner, LLP.

Darren Geliebter - CEO

Darren is a founding partner of Lombard Geliebter Cohen with over 23 years of experience in intellectual property litigation and protection. He represents clients in connection with the protection, enforcement, clearance and licensing of patents and trademarks both domestically and globally. Darren's expertise in intellectual property law includes prosecuting and managing domestic and international patent and trademark portfolios, trademark clearance, oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, trademark, patent and related IP and business litigation in the federal courts (including being admitted pro hac vice in the Eastern District of Texas), and domain name disputes, including UDRP and ACPA actions.

Eric Huang

Eric is a registered patent attorney and senior intellectual property litigator at Lombard & Geliebter with a diverse range of intellectual property experience, including patent litigation and prosecution, trademark litigation and prosecution, and copyright registration. He advises clients ranging from multinational corporations to small businesses to entrepreneurs and startups on all matters related to the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights. He focuses his practice on patent litigation, representing clients in federal district court and in Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Eric is experienced in all aspects of patent litigation, including pre-suit diligence, infringement and validity strategies, claim construction, discovery, motion practice, pretrial preparation, and trial. His technology experience covers a range of applications, including biotechnology, consumer products, food production, macrophotography, wireless digital communications, optical disc drives, electronic imaging, analog power detectors, intrinsically safe circuits, and "fire-safe" paper technology. In addition to patent litigation, Eric also has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, managing patent portfolios, and providing strategic counseling to clients to identify and protect their intellectual property. Eric also has extensive experience with trademark litigation and prosecution matters, including representing clients in trademark disputes in federal district court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Prior to joining the firm, Eric was an associate in the Boston offices of Pepper Hamilton LLP and Foley Hoag LLP. Nik Nicolakis

Nik Nicolakis is Of Counsel in the New York office of Lombard Geliebter Cohen and involved in the patent and litigation practices. Nik has over 15 years of prosecution, litigation and transactional experience. Mr. Nicolakis has conducted a number of trials from initial discovery to jury verdict. He has represented clients on the federal, state and local levels. From harvesting internal assets for protection to asserting client rights in court, Mr. Nicolakis provides advice on a broad range of intellectual property and related business matters. These matters include patent drafting and prosecution, trademark search, clearance, and application preparation. In addition, Nik has advised on appellate matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. In addition to mechanical and electrical technologies, Nik has advanced experience working on patent applications involving search engine methodologies, database systems, gaming platforms, financial engineering, chipsets, social networks, surveillance systems, virtualization, mobile wireless, cloud computing and solar cell technologies. Prior to LGC, Mr. Nicolakis was a Supervising Assistant District Attorney where he developed the first office-wide Discovery protocols by establishing a suite of online tools to provide for data collection over a set of disparate sources and data production to individual recipients with an audit trail in the effort adhere to an overhaul of the discovery requirements imposed by the legislature in 2020.

Rajan Sharma

Rajan Sharma has more than 20 years of experience in the biotech, life sciences, and pharmaceutical industries. His vast, multi-disciplinary experience includes handling Hatch-Waxman litigation, P1V litigation, and other types of complex U.S. and international litigation. He also has an extensive background in corporate and intellectual property law as a former General Counsel to pharmaceutical company called InnoPharma Inc., a sterile injectables company based in Piscataway, New Jersey until its acquisition by Pfizer Inc. in 2016. He has advised a broad array of clients on litigation, corporate and intellectual property matters including licensing, corporate finance, issuance of securities and corporate governance matters. His practice focuses in significant part on the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, but he has also represented overseas banks and tech start-ups as well. While serving as Of Counsel to LGC, he is also presently acting General Counsel to Nevakar Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Bridgewater, NJ. In his capacity as acting chief legal counsel of Nevakar, a company with 100 employees, he is responsible for legal oversight of all aspects of corporate governance, capital raise, stock issuance and options, business agreements with outside parties, all patent opinions and filings, and all types of litigation including intellectual property litigation as well as employee and Board matters.

Sarah Cohen

Sarah's has over 14 years of experience in intellectual property law. Her practice focuses on IP property protection, enforcement, and transactions. She counsels clients on all aspects of global brand protection and enforcement, licensing and other intellectual property agreements, and she negotiates license agreements for various transactional matters. Sarah works with an extensive network of counsel outside of the U.S. on international intellectual property matters. Sarah also assists clients with disputes related to intellectual property, drafting policies and guidelines relating to use and protection of intellectual property assets and settlement agreements related infringement issues. She also handles domain name acquisitions and disputes under the UDRP. In addition, Sarah has litigated trademark cases in federal court and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Sarah has worked with start-ups and international companies in various industries to develop and maintain intellectual property portfolios. Sarah has worked with these businesses to obtain protection and provide enforcement for a broad range of goods and services, including toys, kitchen wares, apparel, beauty, jewelry, food, sports equipment, internet, financial, entertainment, and sports events.
