MANDY'S CREATIVE SPACE

This is a new mural at Barnet General Hospital. It is going to be the centre piece for a peace garden on a closed ward for adults with serious mental health illnesses. The positive impact of the work was apparent almost as soon as I started it. The work can be also seen from many of the offices around the courtyard. Patients enjoyed sitting in the sunshine watching me paint and a couple were even brave enough to have a go. This is a great example of how a mural can really transform a space and have a very positive impact on the people that use it... In February of this year I was commissioned to paint a mural in a gorgeous 2 year old boy's new bedroom - a landscape filled with all his favorite characters and animals!... My husband Alan is great at upcycling and repurposing. He is also very creative. I wanted to showcase recent pieces that he has made, some of which are available to purchase.
