I received my undergraduate degree at St. John Fisher in Childhood and Special Education. I then acquired my master's degree at University at Buffalo in Childhood Education with birth -- second grade extension. For the past two years, I've worked in a multi-grade classroom consisting of first and second grade students at a charter school in North Buffalo... Along with my passion for teaching, I enjoy traveling to different parts of the world where I am able to explore the diverse cultures and values of others. In June 2009, I had the opportunity to live in Peru for two months. I taught English to 3rd and 4th grade students. I used my background education in ESL (English as a second language) to implement instructions to my students in both English and Spanish.
