Aida is based in the Vancouver office and manages several Small Community Initiative projects. Aida is an architect by training with over a decade of international experience who transitioned into real estate development with particular interest in non-profit community development.
Andrea is responsible for investment and portfolio management for the Community Forward Fund and the Canadian Co-operative Investment Fund. She has more than ten years of experience working in different financial institutions such as Scotiabank, CIBC and EDC. Andrea has held various roles in underwriting, credit risk management, internal controls and audit. Most recently, Andrea did consulting for a nonprofit that focused on at-risk youth in the GTA and also for a cooperative organization that promoted women economic empowerment in Colombia. She holds an MBA from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University in Montreal.

Andy is a member of New Market Funds management committee and is responsible for New Commons Development. He has more than 25 years of experience in non-profit real estate development including over 13 years launching and managing funds at Vancity and Housing Vermont. He holds an MA from University of Virginia and a BA from James Madison University.

Darren supports the financial operations and analysis across the New Market Funds platform. His previous experience includes private investment valuation at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, as well as financial institution and real estate audit at KPMG. Darren holds a BCom from the University of British Columbia.
David Lam manages projects in the Toronto office. He has over 10 years of combined experience in sustainability consulting and project management in private mixed-used and multi-family high-rise residential construction and public housing projects. David leads a portfolio of projects including several new developments in communities in Ontario and a major renovation and repair project in Toronto.

Derek is a member of New Market Funds management committee and is responsible for the Community Forward Fund Assistance Corp. He has more than 20 years of experience leading community housing and development corporations as CEO of Toronto Community Housing and COO of Build Toronto. He has deployed over $500M in real estate in Canada. He holds a BA from Carleton University.
Dion leads New Commons Development's BC-based team and directs NCD's small communities projects. With over 12 years of experience in sustainable community development, social enterprise and affordable housing, Dion brings a unique set of skills to supporting our community partners in the preservation and development of projects. Dion's breadth of experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors also means he has an understanding of the potential opportunities available to communities and the strategies necessary to deliver successful developments.

Garth is a member of New Market Funds management committee and is responsible for the New Market Funds platform. He has more than 25 years of experience in capital deployment including Vancity, Turtle Creek and Scotia. He holds Masters degrees from Johns Hopkins University and London School of Economics and a BA from Simon Fraser University.

Hadley leads New Commons Development. With over 12 years of experience, Hadley supports the development team to manage development projects at all stages and ensure the successful delivery of affordable housing in communities across the country. Hadley has a background working in the public, philanthropic and non-profit sectors on affordable housing and community impact initiatives. As part of the New Market Funds leadership team, she also works across the platform to support New Market Funds' organizational vision and mandate to deliver impact capital to the community sector.

Julia leads the investment and portfolio management for the Community Forward Fund and the Canadian Co-operative Investment Fund. She has over ten years of experience in banking, finance and the non-profit sector. Her experience includes investing and portfolio management at the World Bank's private sector arm, IFC, in Panama, Senegal and USA; advising social entrepreneurs at an accelerator in Nicaragua and financial analysis and forecasting at Scotiabank. She holds an MBA from HEC Paris, a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto and is a CFA charter holder.

Lauren manages financial operations and analysis across the New Market Funds platform. She has over 9 years of financial and management experience in a combination of public, private and social enterprise. She holds a CPA,CA designation and a BAcc (Hons) from Brock University.

Lena supports the financial operations and analysis across the New Market Funds platform. She has experience working in impact measurement, urban food systems, and community development. Lena holds a MSc. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a B.A.&Sc. from McGill University.

Nadia manages project development and construction at New Commons Development in British Columbia. She has over eight years of experience in the construction and development of multi-family residential projects in the private sector. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Technology from BCIT.
Olwen supports the affordable housing development activities of New Commons Development. She has over five years of experience working in the non-profit sector and in private urban planning consulting, both in Canada and the US. She has contributed to a variety of social impact projects related to affordable housing, sustainability and public engagement. She holds a Masters in Urban Planning from McGill University and a BA from Queen's University.

Robin supports the day-to-day and strategic operations across the New Market Funds platform. She has over 8 years of operations management experience with nonprofits and purpose-driven business, including working in supported housing in Vancouver and leading humanitarian and development operations in Jordan and Iraq. Robin holds a BA from the University of British Columbia and a Postgraduate Certificate in International Development from Humber College.
Sunna manages development projects in the Toronto office. She has over eight years of experience working with non-profits in both operations and development of mixed-use and multi-family affordable housing projects. With a background in planning and urban design, Sunna brings expertise that extends beyond the planning phases through to project financing and construction delivery. Sunna leads a portfolio of projects in communities across Ontario that leverage a diversity of funding sources including CMHC's Co-Investment program.
