Brad Lefebvre

Brad was raised in Englefeld. Following graduation in 1977, he worked in Englefeld and district, initially as a welder, and then for Sask. Wheat Pool. In 1991, Brad received his Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer certification, and joined forces with Todd to open Schuler-Lefebvre in April 1992. Brad married Wanda Crozon on October 13, 1984. They have two sons, Nathan and Landon. Brad loves spending time with family, participating in many outdoor sports, reading, and volunteering in his church and community.

Deryk Meszaros

Bio Deryk was raised in Naicam, and after graduating from high school attained a Diploma in Biotechnology from SIAST. He spent almost 8 years doing research with University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Research Council and QSV Biologics. After spending 1 ½ years at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, he moved to Humboldt in 2010 to start with Schuler Lefebvre Funeral Chapel. Deryk received his Funeral Director/ Embalmer licence in 2013 and became partner/owner in 2013. In 2016, he married Elizabeth Shortland of Muenster where they reside with their family Lucas, Charlotte and Arthur.

James Schuler

Bio James was raised in Middle Lake, SK and graduated from Middle Lake High School. Upon graduation he attended the U of S obtaining his BA. He furthered his education at Kelsey Campus SIAST where he obtained his journeyman status in plumbing. In 1994, he began with Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel receiving his license in 1996. James, his wife, Paula, and three children reside in Humboldt.

Janie Taphorn

Kirby Wassermann

Job Titles:

Bio Kirby was born and raised in Muenster. After graduation he obtained his welding certificate and began working at Doepker Industries where he remained for 24 years. In November 2017, Kirby began his Funeral Director course at Sask. Polytechnic and graduated in 2019. In July 2019, he started full-time with Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel and is continuing classes to obtain his embalming certificate. Kirby and his wife Mara have two sons, Jacob and Daniel.

Mel Nordick

Bio Mel was born and raised in Englefeld. He joined the Credit Union in Humboldt and later Englefeld. Later he worked as an office manager in Humboldt. Since retiring he has worked part-time for Schuler-Lefebvre. He enjoys family time with his wife Lesley and their two children and four grandchildren. He loves music and plays drums, guitar and accordion. He also enjoys golfing.

Murray Meszaros

Bio Born and raised in the St. Benedict area and after graduating from St. Peter's College and taking one year at the University of Saskatchewan, he embarked on a career with the Credit Union system in St. Benedict, Wadena, Delisle, Rocanville and Naicam. From there, he worked for several years at Doepker Industries and Humboldt Autobody. Murray is currently employed at Discovery Ford in Humboldt.

Tamara Mann

Bio Tamara grew up in Lanigan. After graduating from high school in 2008 she moved to Lloydminster where she worked in a goldsmith shop as a jewellery designer until 2013. She attended U of S for a couple of years pursuing an interest in nutrition but did not feel like that was her calling. Tamara moved to Humboldt in 2017 where she married her high school sweetheart and made their home along with their son. She began her funeral education in 2020 and started at Schuler-Lefebvre in 2022. She is now working through her conditional license for funeral directing and will be taking classes for embalming.

Todd Schuler - Founder

Todd was raised and went to school in the Middle Lake District. After graduation he worked for a couple of years for Hoffman Lumber in Middle Lake. In 1987, he began working in the funeral profession and became licensed in 1990. In April 1992, Todd and Brad opened Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel. Todd worked as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Todd married Tanya Prokosch on July 23, 1994, and they have a daughter, Faith. Todd passed away in April of 2019.
