SHERWOOD PUBLIC SCHOOL

Sherwood Public School is located in the suburbs of Mississauga, Ontario and is part of The Peel District School Board. Our school serves a diverse population of many backgrounds and is home to several English Language Learners (ELL). Our school teaches children from Kindergarten to Grade 6... We promote an inclusive, anti-oppressive learning environment that celebrates all the learners in our community. We therefore strive to support all of our students and help them to achieve their best. This website was created in order to highlight the balanced literacy program in our Grade 3 classroom which operates on The Ontario Language Arts Curriculum... At Sherwood Public School, our pedagogy is based on an integrative approach to literacy education. This type of literacy integration supports all learners by giving them authentic and rich learning experiences. We believe in holistic, child-centered learning that promotes development through these authentic experiences.
