SNPA - Key Persons
Manage the group's finances and bank account. This will require working collaboratively with the Planning Society Treasurer. Alert the committee of funding opportunities available from within and outside the University e.g. grants. Writing funding applications, this shall be a joint responsibility with the Secretary or Chair.
Organise and Chair weekly committee meetings. To manage the weekly activities of the committee and to manage activities of volunteers.
Maintain an up to date record of changes to Planning policy which will affect the planning tools and powers available for Neighbourhood planning. Additionally research best practice examples of Community led Planning. Report any changes or proposed changes to relevant planning policy and examples of successful community led planning to members at weekly committee meetings.
Circulate minutes of the weekly committee meeting to all SNPA group members and volunteers within 48 hours of the meeting. To assist the Chair in monitoring and managing the email account and Facebook group.
Recruit second, third and fourth year students from planning and related courses as volunteers which will then be prepared to take on committee roles for the next academic year.
