Hardy Simes, Co-Founder: He spent 5 years with Accenture in China, where he was helping companies ranging from Starbucks to Samsung launch new products, develop customers and operate their sales organizations in Asia. With his detail-oriented analytical skills, he helped businesses look beyond isolated sources of information from the past and generate actionable insights for the future. In one of his last projects, he worked with business and technical teams to support the global demand forecasting and sales operations for a region that sold 200 million phones per year.
John Yang, Co-Founder: Currently a 2nd Year MBA Student at the Wharton School. Prior to Wharton, John worked at New Profit Inc, a national social venture fund focused on education, poverty alleviation, and social mobility. While at New Profit, John helped launch and establish the Pathways Fund, a public-private initiative with the federal government's new Social Innovation Fund. In addition, he had the opportunity to partner with some of the country's leading social entrepreneurs to help them tackle strategic and organizational challenges. John began his career at General Electric (GE) as a member of its two-year Financial Management Program where he rotated across various divisions including NBC Universal and GE's headquarters. John graduated from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan with High Distinction.
Marvis Burns, Co-Founder: Now, only a quarter of a century, Marvis has experienced many hardships and success in the business world that span his interests and passions for education, finance and real estate. Marvis left his hometown to board in Bloomfield Hills, MI as he attended high school at Cranbrook Kingswood. His view that the further you go, the faster you grow led him to Cornell University where he earned a Bachelors of Science studying finance and real estate. Marvis then relocated to Stamford, CT, where he worked in finance at GE Capital's Real Estate arm. He later transitioned to UBS for its real estate environmental team through Cushman and Wakefield. Additionally, Marvis obtained his real estate license to round out his real estate experience.
: YoungAh is a 2nd year Wharton MBA student. This summer, YoungAh supported a fund raising for a SF based consumer tech start up. Before Wharton, she did management consulting at BCG for 4 years, mainly serving for consumer goods and technology companies. As an art enthusiast, she also worked at museum of art for a Korean modern artist's exhibition.
