Anna McLoughlin

Anna McLoughlin has more than 20 years' experience in general legal practice in Galway and Mayo. She is also a fluent Irish speaker and completed the Law society of Ireland's Advanced Legal Practice Irish program which certifies her to practice law through the Irish language. Originally from Athenry, Anna studied Irish and Archaeology at National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) before undertaking a Bachelor of Laws at NUIG. Upon her graduation in 1995, she spent the summer in San Francisco on J1 Visa where she enjoyed the diverse culture and outdoor lifestyle. She returned to Ireland and embarked upon an apprenticeship with Egan Daughter and Company in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, and qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and worked with Eanya Egan post qualification. In 2002 Anna joined Higgins Chambers and Flanagan Solicitors in Headford, Co. Galway where she spent 15 years specialising in commercial and residential conveyancing, probate and litigation. Anna established her own practice, McLoughlin & Co Solicitors, on Bridge Street, Headford to continue to provide the highest quality client service and legal expertise to her clients in the local community and beyond. Anna is a member of the Law society of Ireland and is a former member of the MACNAS board and is currently involved with the local initiative to re-open a walk along the river at Gortnamona, Headford, County Galway. She has also sat on the board of her local national schools. Anna is a dog lover, very keen horsewoman and in her spare time, can be found horse riding and is also a keen gardener.

Elaine Murphy

Elaine Murphy studied at NUI Galway and obtained an Honours Degrees in Bachelor of Arts (Legal Science and Sociology and Politics) in 2005 and then continued to obtain an Honours LLB Degree also from NUIG in 2006. She began working in a practice in Galway city in 2007 while studying for her FE1 exams. She completed her apprenticeship and was entered on the Roll of Solicitors in January 2011. She worked in two busy general practices in Galway city until 2023 when she joined the team at McLoughlin & Co. Solicitors. She has worked in all areas of general practice and private client matters such as conveyancing, leases, personal injury claims, wills and probate, and she has extensive experience in all forms of litigation having represented clients in the District Court, Circuit Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal over the years.
